Parent: Parent of two students - one current, one just graduated. More than a school: a "community" we've been a part of since Kindergarten. Gotten better each year, and reassuring to see our kids go and leave school happy and enthusiastic every day! Very attentive, creative and engaged faculty and administration. Positive and supportive faith and values based environment. Hard to do everything as a smaller school, but what they do, they do exceptionally well. Small classes lead to a great learning environment, but naturally challenge extracurriculars and athletics. Excellent art and STEM. Interesting diversity from international students. Buildings and grounds are in great shape and constantly being improved. Our graduate will be attending one of the most competitive private HS in the region, and totally ready to go! Parent: My kids love this school! Our youngest is in the dual language program and we are amazed at how fast she is learning Spanish. The school is very welcoming and will go above and beyond for families. Shout out to the amazing nurse who helps our family with special medical needs and makes us feel safe. One area needs to be improved is communication between the teachers, the school and parents about what is going on in the classroom and upcoming special events. We greatly appreciate that most of the teachers communicate often through newsletters and text messages, but not all do this. Parent: We are so happy that we discovered Lutheran High School for our daughter! She is genuinely happy to go to school each day. The academics are excellent. There are several Honors and AP options (History, English, Calculus I & II, Comp Science, Spanish etc) as well as dual credit engineering classes. Importantly, the students are not stressed out and miserable because the teachers and social environment are supportive and nurturing. Bullying and other toxic social issues that are prevalent at other schools are not present here. Athletics are top notch and welcoming to all abilities. Home games and even out of town games are well-attended by students, faculty and parents even if they don't have an athlete on the team. The Robotics, E-Sports, One Act Play etc provide excellent extracurricular opportunities.
