Parent: I have a daughter in the Pre-K class and she absolutely loves it! Cornerstone Baptist Academy has a tremendous teaching staff this year. This is the best teaching staff they have ever had. They love the Lord, they love the students, there is now such a sweet spirit amongst the staff and student body. I highly recommend CBA to anyone with children in Pre-K through 12th grade. They have small class sizes which allows the teachers to spend quality time with each student, and allows them to know each student's name and it is a much closer-knit class that way.... Senior: During my sophomore year at public school, I decided to transfer to Heritage Christian School due to personal religious beliefs. Heritage is a small private school that prioritizes personal growth in not only general education, but also in faith. Although there are not quite as many opportunities in regards to college courses or GPA boosts, Heritage is working to expand their curriculum. Furthermore, I found that a slight GPA decrease was a worthy sacrifice to truly grow deeper knowledge. A 3-digit number does not dictate my full capacity of wisdom and understanding. Parent: Choosing Lutheran was the best decision we could have made for our family! The boys are getting the academic push they need in the classroom as well as more one on one attention from teachers because of the small class sizes. As a parent I love the ease of communication between myself and the school and I am never left in the dark about anything…from the kids grades, to upcoming events, to sports, daily announcements and changes in the schedule. The kids are able to be involved in a number of different activities and the small school allows them to feel more a part of a family then just a number in a crowd. They are freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors together on and off the field, in and out of the classroom, eating lunch together, volunteering together, and worshiping together. Senior: Covenant Christian High School has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I have formed deep relationships with my peers and teachers, and I always feel safe and loved here. Although I have always enjoyed school, I didn't realize how much I could love learning and be engaged with my classes on a much deeper level, until I came to Covenant. I love all the opportunities that my school offers. For example, I am able to participate in multiple clubs and extracurriculars, and my school encourages school spirit and involvement. I love the theatre program at Covenant, and I love how it pushes students to become stronger in our faith and in our relationships with one another. Parent: We transferred our son to The Oaks mid-fourth grade. I was nervous to send him to a new school and was afraid he'd feel "behind" the other kids academically, and even disconnected relationally. However, the school surrounded him with SO much love and support. By the end of the year, he cried on the last day of school because he didn't want school to end. This school has become so special to our entire family (all three of our kids are here now). And I'm so glad we made the decision to transfer our son, and then our two daughters here. They are flourishing relationally, academically and emotionally in this context. Everything is so intentional and personal. Parent: When shopping schools for my children, my priority requirements were flexible and creative methods of learning, diverse representation among the administration, teachers, and students, and an involved school community. SRES has exceeded all of my expectations. My preschooler speaks French, sounds out words, and excitedly connects the dots between things she learns at school and the real world. We have built an incredible “village” not only within our grade level, but in the larger school community. As an alum of SRES, I have been blown away by its evolution since I was a student. The uniforms, while still keeping all students on a level playing field, have been adjusted to accommodate students of all gender identities. The commitment from the Parent Organization is top-notch and the opportunities for community-building have been amazing.
