Parent: After graduating from Plymouth Christian myself, we were very blessed to be in a position to be able to return to Plymouth Christian and send our own kids. Our older daughter graduated last year, we have one remaining, a senior! It has been an such a great experience for us, as parents, that we would not trade. The ability to truly partner with a school, a Christian School, and to watch our kids receive a solid Christian education, preparing for college and an opportunity participate is a successful sports programs as well. Each of our kids have been multi-sport athletes and the gymnasium signage now displays multi-generational records/successes for individuals and teams that play "For Him"! We look forward to somehow staying involved next year, even after each of our kids have graduated. Our two in college graduated from Novi Christian in 2017 (attended since preschool) and scored a 33 Composite and 32 Composite on the ACT. They both recieved the maximum scholarship available at their respective colleges. Parent: We have been so blessed that our kids have been able to go to Oakland Christian School! We have been there for 12 years so have been around awhile. We love the small class sizes, the caring teachers, the challenging curriculum, the many activities offered, and especially the Christ centered focus. We have 3 boys so had to have a school that also offered sports. They offer many different sports and are actually pretty competitive. Our oldest graduated from OCS last year and was very well prepared for college. He was prepared both academically and spiritually. You can get good academics at many different schools, but the Christ centered focus taught at Oakland Christian is tough to beat. Senior: Bethany Christian School has a great environment for kids of all ages. It is a K-12 school, with teachers who care about every student. The staff is very friendly and make every effort to get to know their students and be involved in their student's lives. The music program is amazing. Bethany has several programs of music, and has won several awards. Also, graduates who start college are very prepared. The classes at Bethany are hard, but rewarding. Parent: The teachers, assistant and administrators at LCS are second to none! They care about each and every student and go above and beyond to ensure each one has an opportunity to thrive academically. Each of my children are so grateful for the loving, Christian environment where they are able to hear about Jesus every day. Excellent student to teacher ratio. School has moved to Brighton across from Brighton High School and is now very centrally located. I love that, thanks to the help of LCS, my oldest will graduate this year with a semester of college completed - free of charge! My children love playing sports at LCS, including cross country, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Coaches are top-notch in each sport. Livingston Christian Schools is a total blessing!... Senior: I have attended Parkway Christian since I was a Freshman in high school. They made the transition to a new school way easier by having a new student orientation where current students went to it and go to know you. This helped because I went into high school knowing a few kids. I also really enjoy the small class sizes because the teachers can pay closer attention to you and your needs. Also, they keep Christianity at a forefront and tie it into our everyday lives. They offer a variety of honors and AP classes. I am grateful for AP classes because now I am walking into college with credits. The teachers at Parkway truly care for you and would do anything you needed to help. Alum: I had a fantastic experience at Northwest! The teachers have high expectations for their students, go out of their way to help them succeed, and are very approachable. The A.P. classes offered are great- the teachers prepare students very well for the A.P. Exams, which helped many of us receive college credit. One of the things I appreciated most was the family atmosphere. I was a transfer student, and everyone was genuinely kind and went out of their way to make me feel accepted and included. Junior: I transferred there this year from Dakota high school and I couldn’t be happier! It was a great way for me to learn how to make friends and get out of my shell. Alum: No school is perfect. However, I also have never gone to any other school. What I can say having been a student from Kindergarten to a senior is that this is a very good Christian school with challenging academics. Your classes aren’t that big either (average 20 to 30) so you will easily make friends and get to know different people. The teachers are good with interacting with the students and preparing us for college. They also have a good variety of sports and there is drama during the summer. Senior: My time at Lutheran High School Westland was unlike any other. I was never a kid that would easily fit in with other, but the students here are very accepting and welcome others with open arms. I am a senior this year so i have seen and done everything. The key to making your time amazing at LHWL is to become involved in a sport or club to get to know others and create close relationships. He tells everyone he meets that he goes to Roots and that he loves his school. Not only has his first year in the primary room given him the confidence and competence to challenge himself academically, he has learned how to develop and nurture relationships with peers and his teachers. Parent: A safe Christian school. Very esteemed alumnus too many to name. Graduates of this school have gone on to accomplish great things. Enough credit has not been given to the warmth, peace and love that exudes from these walls. I'm afraid though that times are changing and the parents now do not value the wholistic need for a well rounded Christian education built on the foundation of Christ. High School Senior: Many of the teachers I have met at this school have inspired me and taught me not only academics, but values as well. This school teaches you to think and apply yourself. I met my best friend at this school. The student body has some groups and kids who are in a Christian school because their parents want them there, but most people are kind and willing to include you. I would choose this school again because it's where I was influenced to think deeply about my faith (or lack thereof at the time), and I have met some amazing people through my time at this school, some of whom are the greatest influences in my life today.... Parent: With 3 adult children who attended many schools as we are a military family, we chose St. Peter for our youngest. The most caring, supportive staff, a strong academic curriculum (including a Gifted program and supports for struggling learners, so both ends of the spectrum), and a Christian family oriented community feel in the church and school. Also, Technology access and student training is one-to-one which was important to us.I see the negative review was written quite a few years ago, and we have experienced nothing like that.
