Junior: Valor Christian High School is a private school. Valor is a smaller school, with the average class size of approximately 250-300 students. Valor has a very strong music, drama, dance and arts programs within its conservatory. Valor also offers a strong Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) and college preparatory classes. Unlike local high schools, Valor does not allow freshman to take AP classes unless you have an exception (e.g., math or language placement at the AP level). As a Christian school, 3 years of bible classes are required as part of the curriculum. For those seeking to boost their GPA with Honors, AP or Dual-Credit classes, note that there are no such offerings for the required bible classes or freshman seminar class. Parent: As a mom of 4 kids, I couldn't be more pleased with Front Range Christian School! We have experienced preschool through high school here and it's been an extremely positive experience. The teachers here make all the difference. I have complete confidence in the administration and school board as they look to Christ to lead them in leading the school. The teachers pray with me at every parent/teacher conference. Christ is exalted in every area. The musicals here are incredible! Student leadership is truly given the opportunity to make a difference & influence positive change. Students go out into the community to volunteer & experience serving people who are very different from them. I have appreciated the way they accommodate my children's academic needs. One of my kids was allowed to move up 2 grade levels in math in junior high. I was pleased they made sure she was challenged. Parent: How rare & wonderful to find a school that perfectly suits both of our children - as different as they are! In their own unique ways they are celebrated, supported & cared for by the amazing teachers & staff who work tirelessly to provide a great school home. As parents we feel so safe & comfortable in this school and have really enjoyed meeting the other families - many became close friends quickly! We love the inclusive environment, the solid Christian foundations, wonderful communication from school to families and the fun activities sprinkled in all school year. They do a great job fostering the whole child approach and truly make it a cornerstone of their curriculum & activities. Senior: I have had an excellent highschool experience at FCA. The staff are amazing and genuinely care about each student. There has always been a welcoming and fun atmosphere with the student body . The school has a great stem program along with other extra curricular activities such as drama, music, and a variety of sports. The only thing I would change would be to update the facility . Parent: Last year, my son in kindergarten, and daughter in first grade, were both falling behind in public school. My daughter still didn’t know all her letter sounds and could barely read or write full words. Growing up, my husband and I both attended a Christian School and knew Belleview could positively impact our kids, both academically and spiritually. We found Belleview and enrolled the kids immediately. By April of that same school year, the results of the Stanford Achievement Test indicated that my daughter had reached a near 7th grade reading comprehension level. This year, she is earning an A+ in Spelling and Phonics and my son has excelled in Math and Science. Both of them continue to thrive at Belleview and are growing in their relationship with the Lord! Senior: I absolutely loved Lutheran High School! I have been blessed to go there for the past four years, and every day I am grateful that I decided to attend this school. I wanted a smaller school with a wonderful community, and Lutheran has just that. The teachers are absolutely incredible and I was able to grow a genuine relationship with them. The community is filled with wonderful people who made me feel welcome the moment I stepped onto the campus. It is a great school filled with incredible students and a bright future ahead of them. Junior: Flatirons Academy (previously Cornerstone Christian Academy when I arrived there) had its pros and cons. It was what I needed in order to grow academically, emotionally, and mentally. It introduced me to so many amazing teachers and staff who weren’t afraid to go above and beyond to care for their students. I got the chance to grow, learn, and make new experiences. Overall, the school served its purpose for me. I had my hard moments, I had some boring ones, and I had some amazing times from a community that wanted to bring the best to the table. I also had some less than exemplary teachers, but they did their best and I’m thankful for the experience it taught me. Also, that’s a part of all schools, so it’s not too surprising. Parent: Our family moved to Colorado this summer but before we had even moved, we had chosen Anastasis as our kiddos school. We are nothing less than thrilled that we had! It is clear that the teachers and staff truly see, know and care about each student. They work as a team to support and encourage each child to be their very best selves and reach their highest potential. It’s incredible to see learning happen in such open ended and experiential ways that you often don’t get to see elsewhere. There is a deep sense of the love of Jesus and The Word woven through out their days and learning. We absolutely love that the kids are not just getting an education on who Jesus is but are given opportunities to live out his love daily inside and outside the walls of Anastasis. Parent: I really can't say enough about how much our family appreciates and loves St. Elizabeth's. Our daughter has been there for first and second grade, starting during a time when DPS was shut down due to COVID. (St. Elizabeth's had such incredible leadership, staff and community that it was able to stay open.) She has excelled there. We feel that her emotional, psychological, intellectual, artistic and physical needs are all more than met by the school, and are truly impressed by the absolute quality of her overall education. Beyond the education is the school itself, which upholds values that are extremely important to our family. The sliding scale tuition ensures true socio-economic diversity. The focus on social impact, diversity, inclusion, equality and empowerment is so refreshing – and genuine. And the staff and faculty! Parent: This is our 6th year at Arma Dei Academy and we love this school. It has been an incredible blessing to our children and to our family as a whole. With the public schools becoming increasingly cultural, we knew before our oldest entered Pre-K that a Christian education was what we wanted. Parent: Couldn't see my three kids at any other Christian school in the area. This school offered so much in terms of character/spiritual development, service opportunities, athletics/extracurricular, as well as strong academic preparation for high school. Cherry Hills prepared all three of them for Valor Christian High School very well....this school has historically had the largest number of 8th grade graduates accepted to Valor. If you are looking for a Christian preschool/elementary/middle school that will love your kids....put this one at the top of your list for a tour and you will be blown away by the staff and teachers.... Middle School Student: I like that Zion has very compassionate teachers and they are very Christ-like. The teachers support you and truly care about their students. The student- teacher ratio is very small compared to other schools, so the teachers build relationships with their students. The teachers teach students at Zion work ethics, high school readiness, and a deeper understanding of the subjects. The school is small so they do not have as many sports as public schools, but that is to be expected. The one thing, I would like to see change is the office lady or admin assistant.
