Mount Vernon Christian School
Sophomore: Mount Vernon Christian School is an experience that I am grateful, and honored to have. The environment is different than anything I've ever been around, from the kindness of the students, to the openness of the teachers. In class, the teaching techniques that are used have helped me to reach a higher level of understanding when it comes to learning about God, culture, equality, justice, and so much more. The students are attentive and the lessons are fun. Because of the specific Christian environment I work in everyday, I have to learned to better understand the words of the bible and strengthen my relationship with God. If you were to ask me how ready I felt for college at my previous school, I would have said almost not at all. Now, though, I feel confident in my work because of the way we are forced in our assignments and lessons to think deeper with a maturity that I have not seen enforced in other schools....
