Sophomore: This school is amazing academically. They have a variety of AP classes . The teachers are very passionate and very knowledgeable on their subject, and dedicated to teaching. Since it is a small school, everyone knows everyone, and the teachers and administration will know you personally. We have a variety of academic extracurriculars that are very successful, such as our Science Olympiad team, Competition Math team, Physics Bowl, and more. Also, the students are very welcoming and nonjudgmental. A drawback is the lack or arts and sports. We have a band, but it isn't as active as it is in other schools. We have a slowly improving basketball, soccer, and fencing team.

Parent: Full-time gifted and accelerated classes are great. Gifted education is provided through total immersion, which is how it should be. The kids fuel each other to new heights, and the gifted-certified teachers are there to support them. Homework has been reduced, compared to previous years, so we can focus on extracurriculars and family time. Great system.

Parent: Galileo School is the best school we could have ever asked for! The teachers are invested and interested, without exception, in your child's education. They genuinely care about all the children and work hard to give them the best education they can.

We started in Elementary School and moved on to Middle School with Galileo and have had an extremely positive experience across the board.

The administration are wonderful and I have never had a single negative experience with any of them in any aspect. My son has a Gifted EP as well as a 504 and they have been fantastic. Could not speak more highly of this school.

Niche User: A great place with many cultures. I attended as a child and loved the relationships I built. I remember one event which really embodied the experience of this school. We were playing kickball in kindergarten when the ball got stuck in a ditch in the wall. The principal himself went crawling up there and got it for us! This place is definitely a safe place to learn and prepare for the future.

It is obvious that each and every one of his teachers care about their students; not just academically, but their overall well-being. My son has always felt less than adequate with his school performance; however, since coming to Legacy High Charter School, he is maintaining stellar grades and his confidence is evident. I cannot thank his teachers and administrative staff enough for their help and support. I highly recommend this school to those who need that extra push for their kids. For those parents that feel helpless because they see their children suffer and struggle with school. They do not need special classes; just a little more time to learn the material. The kind of time that regular public schools cannot always give them due to their class sizes. Legacy High Charter School has saved my child in so many ways. I highly recommend this school.

Senior: As an attendee of Cornerstone Charter Academy over the past 7 years, I have definitely had many experiences. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time spent at this school as it is quickly coming to an end in my last few days of seniot year. A really enjoyful part of the school is the smaller calss load and the more advanced coursework due to it being a moreso elite school. However, with the good comes the bad... it has taken many years for the school to progress to a normal level where it's functioning the same as many other high schools as well as having limited space due to overpopulation.

Alum: I'm now a high school student and I enjoyed my time at Ivy Hawn. The teachers (most of them) were fantastic, unfortunately most of those who taught me have left. I have a sibling who is currently in their middle school side and she doesn't like it all that much. She's been having trouble with a specific teacher and she's the most respectful, quiet, and enthusiastic student but this teacher has stressed her out beyond belief. Other then that, she pretty much likes the school.

Parent: My children have attended Imagine for 9 years. We moved to Lake county for the sole purpose of having our daughters attend this school and we have never regretted this decision. The teachers are amazing - students are truly valued and known personally by every teacher. The academic rigor is outstanding, one of the very few A schools in the county. My children have excelled and their state test scores have been high across the board. I love the school's attention to character and building great citizens of our community. So many doors have opened for our family because of this school. If you want your child to have the best education by the most caring of teachers, this is the school for you!

Parent: We started in a local public school that we loved, until the county assigned a new principal. She made a lot if changes, which included limiting parent involvement. Then we found Burns Science & Technology School. This is the best k-8 school in Volusia County. Great teachers, staff, special area teachers... Etc. I can not say enough how much we love this little gem of a school.

Kids enjoy learning and are excited to come to school. The halls are bright and colorful and the teachers and staff work hard to keep kids engaged. The school also focuses on community service as part of the whole child learning process. It's a great place to grow up!
