Junior: Archimedean Upper Conservatory has a very rigorous curriculum. It is very focused on academics but it loses its school culture. In other schools, there is a lot of school pride but Archimedean is much more work-oriented and they don't tend to focus on school pride. They get you ready for college in many ways and they are very successful in getting all their students into college but the atmosphere is not a family. Students don't truly get the full 'high school experience' like in other schools. There are pros and cons to being such an academically focused school but they lose so much school spirit in doing so which keeps students engaged and proud to represent their school.

Senior: Doral Academy is what you make of it. There are phenomenal life changing teachers and mentors but there also teachers that you don’t learn all that much from. However, with my experience I’ve been fortunate enough to have the majority of my teachers as the former. Academy has really prepared me for my future endeavors and I think that every year as it goes forward as a school it continues to build on and get better. This is true with teachers and new facilities and events. Out of the schools in the Doral area, Doral Academy is truly the best high school education you can attain. In the Miami area, it’s certainly a strong competitor against other powerhouse schools that have been dominating the educational sphere for a long time. I believe that maybe 5 years from now after I graduate, Doral Academy will be amongst the best of the best in Miami!

Alum: My four years at Pembroke Pines Charter High School were definitely some to remember. There was constantly something going on, whether a drama show, dance, or game that students could get involved in! One of the only things that I wish I could change was the fact that most of my graduating class had been together for 12+ years. As a charter school, most kids were accepted in Kindergarten and never left, creating a solid friend group long before high school. This made freshman year difficult to find friends because they had all been established, but once you found your group it was the best of times!

Parent: My son has been attending ISCHS already for 2 plus years (since 6th grade and he is now in 8th grade). It's an amazing environment, academically challenging and zero tolerance to bullying. Despite the fact that the school is small, its classrooms size are as big as any other big school campus - each classroom is fully equipped with latest technology. The school doesn't say much from the outside appearance but once you go into the classrooms, it has the facilities of any top private school at no cost. It should be ranked as the #1 most cost-effective middle/high school in Miami-Dade County for sure! Not to mention that it has been ranked consistently for many year as one of the TOP 5 schools in Florida and TOP 50 in the nation by US NEWS & World Report. I would recommend this school to anybody but be open-minded to the size of its campus - hopefully they can soon move to a bigger campus.

Senior: In Doral Performing Arts Entertainment Academy, I learned that administrators don't quite support the performing arts programs except to the TV production program since they advertise themselves in the morning announcements. Most people at my school don't even know that we have a keyboard program.There are many performing arts programs; choir program, theater program, band program, orchestra program, TV production program, photography program, visual arts program, keyboard program, and not everyone knows that. I would want the administration to know that the performing arts would get more recognition that it deserves, the school does not provide enough money for the art programs.Tv production program always goes out of state to do the annual tv production competition, it just seems unfair for the music program to do their winter show at our gym. I hope to see an improvement in the Doral Academy support on all of the performing arts programs.

Senior: My experience at Somerset Arts Conservatory is one of time. I joined the Conservatory in 2017 which shares the same campus as Somerset Academy High School. It's the same teachers, same school, same treatment, just a different uniform and extra involvement in your desired art. As a part of the Conservatory band, I grew excellently. Ms. Rodriguez, the band director, is an extremely successful and resilient woman who is an amazing teacher and staff member. The school itself (both Conservatory and High) have an overwhelmingly family like environment to the whole school. Everyone in your class feels connected, everyone respects and understands the campus. The diversity of students was great, academics never shone bright but certainly did its job. Overall, my report of this school is that it's a great place to take your child and let them prosper. The environment is prime for strong independent student leaders and amazing peers that'll always be helpful.

Parent: I am a parent of two students that have attended Archimedean Middle Conservatory. Our overall experience has been nothing but positive. The administration along with the teachers create an atmosphere that is both safe and nurturing. Whenever any of my two children have had a concern or just needed to talk to someone, there is always a teacher or the principal that is available to take time out of their schedule to hear them out. Academically, the school prepares all the students equally for success whether the student is gifted or in the non-gifted setting. I can honestly say that I am very proud and thankful that my children had the opportunity to attend Archimedean Middle Conservatory (AMC). No other school in the county could have prepared them as well as Archimedean Middle Conservatory (AMC) has.

Junior: what i like about somerset academy is that it is very family based everyone likes to see each other succeed. I've attended somerset since i was in 1st grade and am still attending as a junior and will be graduating from there! yes the school is great one thing i would like to see change is the class/ elective options. i think they should have more choices that connect to what someone may be after graduating. this year they actually added a couple of courses like a paramedics class, early childhood education and next year they are adding photography which i think is pretty cool but they should add more classes like home ec, culinary , those type of classes

Middle School Student: As a middle school student at ACES i think it is an overall great school. Everywhere you go there is going to be a popular clique and some mean kids but they’re not that bad. The teachers are very nice and patient with bad kids. I agree the office could use a school nurse, i’ve had a few bad experiences there... The principle is a very responsible and really cares about the school. I live very far from the school and there is usually a lot of traffic but once i arrive there are police officers to guide the traffic into school and it makes me feel very safe.

Middle School Student: i am going to school at ischs now and am very satisfied by their curriculum, they challenge you to be the greatest you can be and the teachers there are helpful and know what they are doing. The middle school is built like the high school so they prepare us very well for high school and you get to learn a new language or if you are fluent in a french you can take the french advanced classes were some subjects like math and history are taught i french. Ischs has given e a great opportunity to enhance my learning and think i would not be as happy in any other school.
