Exploration Academy
Senior: Currently, I'm enrolled in a project-based charter school that doesn't operate by having classes. Instead, we complete required learning targets to get a full education. To complete these targets we participate in seminars and devise projects to fulfill our yearly quota. Then to showcase our work, we create a website profile portfolio and hold open houses for the community.
I wish the dependency ratio for project quality improved. If you were to walk into one of our showcases, you will notice a pattern: for every one excellent project, you see 2-3 shitty quality ones. Those kids are there because they thought EA was "easy," stemming from there technically being no homework. We can't kick them out to allow in students who could actually prosper under PBL, just "help" them. A shame really, any help goes over their head. They create the impression that my education quality is poor. In the end, how much you're willing to put in you'll get out.
