Parent: Students genuinely seem happy to learn at GWA. I heard a boy say his family moved to GWA because he was always being bullied at another school and he grinned and said the teachers wont let anyone bully anyone here. I really like the Leader in Me program at GWA too. The children seem more responsible and confident. The teachers work way beyond the call of duty and genuinely care for the students. Even during the closure, teachers were already online teaching long before the rest of the schools and they were so helpful by email and phone. They really care! We love GWA.... Read 18 reviews

We moved here from out-of-state so our daughter could start 9th grade at UAA last fall and have been so impressed with the school. The academics side is top notch and our daughter is learning real life skills and creative expression in a safe and challenging environment. Parent: My children have been going to Vista for 4 years. They have both loved it so much they get sad when its summer break. The education they receive here is wonderfully well rounded and yet not generalized. Kids have tons of opportunity to participate and excel in high class fun educational activities ranging from theater to robotics. Parent: I almost looked past this wonderful school because of the low state test scores, and I'm glad I didn't. Beautiful view, no cafeteria, no homework in younger grades, and all communications are emailed. The Montessori Method does not mesh perfectly with Utah education standards, but from my research, that's a GOOD THING. A lot of parents don't have their kids take the tests, and the Montessori method does not teach to the test, however, the students ARE learning and the teachers are more than competent. Oh, and did I mention my favorite part? Truly individualized instruction. I don't care if my 5-year-old can do everything the government says he should be able to do by the end of the year, because I know he's learning to the best of his ability and development level. And he loves it. I don't want to watch him lose his love of learning as he progressed through elementary school, as I've seen with so many others, so I was pleased that he won the DMA lottery last year....
