Senior: I have attended Green Charter School as a student since 7th grade. The School is public but managed like a private school. I give it four out five stars. I think the School provides a special environment for students. The Middle/High School is Small with less than 300 students. Even though the campus is still very diverse with student from America, Middle East, Europe, Central and South America, and India. The social order of students isn't really a problem as a lot of student would be considered nerds or geeks in other schools. We also have to wear uniforms to school. Administration is sometimes overly-strict and exaggerating at times. This is especially true on dress code issues and interactions between genders. I do wish the school cared and supported the Music and Arts more. I also wish the School would invest more in the prospect of having a library. We do have Sports teams. Staff and Teachers care about students (sometimes a bit too much) personal and in class issues.... Read 16 reviews

Parent: Greenville Technical Charter High School is a great school! It has small class sizes that allow faculty to get to know students well and help them when needed. The faculty seem to care about the success of each student. The great opportunity exists here to explore Greenville Technical College’s course offerings while in high school, and make progress toward (or complete!) an associate’s degree while still a high school student. Being on the main Greenville Tech campus is an advantage over the other similar charter schools as there are college courses offered on the main campus that are not available on the other Greenville Tech satellite campuses, allowing for a larger variety of college credits to be easily earned. GTCHS retains all of expected high school experiences (athletics, fine arts, student social events, student organizations) while also serving the community by students completing service hours through many varied opportunities. Senior: Brashier gives students a lot of good opportunities to prepare for college and get a headstart through dual enrollment. However, the administration doesn't do much to address marginalized students being targeted by harassment (this includes both students of color and lgbtqia+ students), or investigating complaints about teacher behavior. The administration also tends to have relatively poor communication with its student body. They also have a lacking club community, especially in the visual and performing arts department.... Senior: My experience at Greer Middle College Charter High School has been wonderful! The teachers are truly extraordinary and they go out of their way to help their students. The administration does an excellent job of running everything and keeping everyone on top of their game. As a student with an IEP, I must say that Greer Middle College does a tremendous job of making sure I have access to all of my accommodations and that I will always get help when I need it. Senior: Palmetto Scholars Academy is a wonderful school that is relatively small and is bustling when exerience and talented teachers. The school has dual enrollement classes, FBLA, Mission Design, alongside other competitions to keep your student engaged within the school. The school itself has a growing music program and is pushing through these trying times with online classes to better fit the current environment. The teachers always intend to know their students and to be able to help them in their times of need with support from school conselors always being a constant. The school has a wide range of classes available including AP Calculus AB to GSSM's Accelerate program. Students are given many decisions and be informed about possible scholarship opportunities, volunteer service, internships and of organizations such as National Honor Society. Junior: At our school, we truly have the best of both worlds through high levels of academics and athletics. Students who participate in sports train for part of the day and attend school the other half. We have rigorous training and academics. Our school offers honors and Dual Enrollment classes through our local Technical College. It's a great way to earn college credits while in high school. Senior: James Island High School is a top tier school in many ways. Our school is one of the only with an IB program in the low country, exceeds in many sports, and provides a comfortable learning environment for all students. The school provides many resources for students including a new IT building. The environment is clean and comfortable with upgrades furniture and decor. Although the school is very nice, some things should change. Senior: Gray Collegiate Academy is well known for its academic and athletic achievements. My favorite thing about Gray Collegiate is that it has an "open campus policy," which allows students to come and go from the campus, under certain conditions. Another thing that I love about this school is how much college credit you can earn, even if you only attend for a short amount of time. Finally, Gray Collegiate is excellent when it comes to athletics. Coaches take lots of time to teach their athletes and to be a mentor to them, both on and off the pitch. Some things that I believe are lacking at Gray Collegiate are the music and arts program. There are some art classes that take place, but compared to other high schools, there is no marching band to cheer on the sports and no drama/theater clubs. Senior: The Anderson Five Charter School has been a fantastic experience. Even though I have attended here relatively briefly, my teachers and peers have been so welcoming. The teachers here are always ready to help when questions are presented and are constantly accommodating to each student's wants and needs. My guidance counselor, Kena Steeple, has been so incredibly helpful when it comes to state tests and scholarships. She diligently works with me through my long lists of questions about college and my career path and never makes me feel like a chore or "just another student." Senior: Whitmore School is the best high school ever! The teachers are attentive and quick to reply. The information is presented in an engaging format. Courses are structured with the real world in mind. 
Counselors and teachers and genuinely engaged and always ready to help, chat, or explain something. They will make sure you understand everything completely. There are extracurriculars like the National Honor Society and the school newspaper. I also appreciated the help and advice given but support coaches and the college advisor. It is truly “anytime, anyplace.” You can work on mobile, at night, or in a different timezone. Teachers are always punctual to reply. Junior: I enjoy attending Midlands Middle College because everyone there is extremely helpful. All of the teachers care about your grades and do everything they can to help you have a successful future. They also try to make school pleasurable by giving us fun activities to complete in class. Junior: Legacy is a really good school that holds all scholars accountable for their academic progression and actions. What makes legacy so great is that their preparing us for college something that many schools fail to do, they care not only about our academics but the scholars as well. Junior: The High school for Health Professions has helped me grow into the person I am today. From freshman year to junior year, I have grown mentally and physically. The environment is overall excellent! The students and some teachers, make time at school exciting. Although the school is small, it is not less than any other school. The opportunities the school gives are very helpful. From CNA certifications to dual enrollment, High school for Health Professions prepares students for a better future. Senior: Riverwalk Academy is the place to be! Riverwalk has an awesome set of teachers and administrators that truly care about the students. I love the dual enrollment program with York Tech that is available for 11th and 12th graders, as it gives me a chance to take regular college classes in highschool. There are plenty of afterschool and extracurricular activities to partake in, such as Band, Volleyball, and Business Professionals of America. I'm looking forward to another year at Riverwalk.... Alum: My experience at Calhoun Falls Charter School was a very pleasant one. I had great instructors for my all my classes. I also was a softball player and earned my letterman’s jacket for sports as a 1st base player. I learned all the fundamental skills needed to excel in the world after graduating. I started going to Calhoun Falls Charter School at grade 7. I was technically a middle school student until grade 9. Being amount the older students was intimidating at first but once I got used to my classes all of that became comfortable as well. The school itself is a very good one.
