Works Here: It is the best "Southside" school in Santa Fe. The teachers are experienced. The students are well prepared for ant school they transfer to, including SF Prep and ATC. The music program and music teacher s are the best fpr elementary students in Santa Fe, if not in the state. The community values the arts, and the after school program offerings are amazing and FREE: Jazz band French, cooking, sign language, chess, jazz history, future cities, and many more.... Parent: This is my child's 2nd year at ASE and we absolutely love it! The teachers and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, the diversity is unbelievable and overall just a very welcoming place to be. They communicate well and welcome the parents to be involved in everything, especially to follow your child's progress and their grades. Parent: All of my children attended MAS Charter School. I have two daughters who have graduated from MAS and have both gone to college. My youngest child is still attending MAS and this school was instrumental in helping my children. My oldest daughter was not proficient in reading when she started 7th grade, yet graduated as an advanced reader thanks to MAS! Parent: Overall the school deserves the A rating it consistently receives. The school is not known for sports, however, students can be involved in the regular school district sports activities. The same goes for clubs and activities. It is my opinion, more parents should be actively involved with all aspects of the school. The esprit de corp among faculty and students is high. Parent: NMIS has so much to offer its students and families. Our daughter plays the violin, speaks Spanish, Arabic and French. She has a well-rounded education and has been exposed to other cultures making her open-minded and curious. The community at NMIS is unmatched! Parents and staff truly care about the students and creating a positive environment for them to learn and grow. Parent involvement is big at NMIS and it truly makes a difference in creating memories for our children as well as a safe and fun community to be a part of. Parent: I absolutely think Coral Community Charter School lives up to every aspect of their name! They are MORE than a Community, it's family! Junior: The teachers at Explore Academy who stick around for more than one year are fabulous. Steps have been made toward fulfilling the promise of being a "college prep" school, including starting PSAT testing in 9th grade and offering more advanced courses, but the school still falls short. Senior: Estancia Valley Classical Academy has been a wonderful school to attend. Policies are consistent and easy to understand, teachers are exceptional and the school culture is professional and pleasant. I would love to see a wider variety of classes, especially foreign languages! I’d also be interested in more practical classes like home economics. I appreciate that one math and one science credit are open and allow students to start exploring specialized interests while still in high school. Scheduling and transferring can be an arduous process but has greatly improved over the past few years as far as I can tell. Junior: I moved to this school at the beginning of my sophomore year. The main reason I transferred was because I had heard very good things from one of my friends about the agriculture program here. The counselor and the admin team were great, setting me up with the classes I needed, transferring credits and helping me register for dual credit The school was virtual for my first year. Once I was able to come in person it was great. The students here are all very nice and very non-judgmental. The ag program was fantastic, and the ag teacher is amazing. They have a really cool program called Edgenuity, which allows students to take other classes not necessarily offered through the teachers at school. For example I took an anatomy class on Edgenuity and loved it. By far my favorite part about this school though is the dial credit opportunities.
