There's an excellent balance of academic and creative with certificate programs available to students who'd like to pursue one area or both. Student participation is high because they feel connected to the school and supported by the staff and administration.

I would not change schools if I had to do it all over again!

Parent: I must say that this school has a great formula for school-to-home connections.
I really appreciated the inviting atmosphere that was created for my children as well as others to gain meaningful learning experiences. The teachers were all willing to accept and incorporate any feedback given by me that was beneficial to my child's learning. The office staff is AWESOME!! They are all kind and helpful! My children were very happy at BCA. I would recommend this school to anyone.

Middle School Student: As a student of Lake Forest since kindergarten, I believe when I graduate (which is at the end of this year), Lake Forest will be a major point of why I made it and graduated. They helped me grow into the person I am today. They did great with my education, which includes me getting into Algebra in 8th grade. I love all my teachers and I will miss them. ❤️

Alum: The school is overall a really good school. In general, they have everything a school needs. While their accommodations to kids' recommendations/suggestions could be better they still have it down for the most part. Some teachers here are genuinely amazing others arent and could be helped. One main thing that I noticed though was how some teachers discipline never helped some. They saw something and they thought they were in the right 100% and didn't want to listen but then can be fixed very easily in my opinion. One other thing is safety. Yes, there is an actual decent amount of fights but that's only if you put yourself in that kind of position. I'm not talking about the kids but I'm talking about the way you act that will get you in those kinds of fights. But overall I highly recommend the school for your children.

Senior: Kenner Discovery HS for has been a little all over the place, from starting at a different campus and moving in the middle of the year to starting a month late because of construction reasons. I have been at Kenner Discovery since I was in 6th grade and I am now a high school senior. I've enjoyed the time that I have had here, and I understand the school is new and is being built so I may not have the best campus at the moment but, the education is great, teachers will sit down to make sure you have everything down packed. The students are nice, I feel like I have a little family here, we are all in. Overall, I think Kenner Discovery is a great school to go to.

Parent: We absolutely loved Green. The environment was inspiring and positive. The teachers were enthusiastic and friendly. The school grounds are very nice and the gardens are gorgeous. The education my daughter received in Pre-K was very impressive.
The only thing we didn’t care for was the 715am start time.
Overall, great school!

Parent: Teaching my daughter a lot since she has attended Lafayette Academy. Very proud mother indeed I am. Just need more teachers and parents to put more into helping the children as in money, volunteering and so much more. I understand school is not fun but we can make school the best you ever had. I really would love for the children to look at education as a different method in learning .

Parent: This is a great school for creative kids. It is truly diverse, with kids from families headed by doctors studying next to kids suffering from developmental disabilities, and the ethic at the school is one of kids helping each other and contributing their own unique strengths. Kids are very supported here, and get great instruction in the arts, as well as unique opportunities, such as performing at French Quarter Fest and doing walking field trips to historic sites in the French Quarter and science trips to the Mississippi River. The teachers are GREAT, and really care about the students.
