Alum: Newark Charter is the best by far in terms of academics and teacher support, but in terms of athletics it falls short with lack of certain sports such as fall. Now saying that I know that in the future they are going to have a team but unsure of when but are building the facilities to be capable to play football. Junior: My experience with MOT Charter School so far has been great! The staff and teachers at MOT are very understanding and help you throughout your struggles. They ensure the students are getting the best education. I attended MOT Charter High school since my 9th grade. I am now a junior at MOT, currently halfway through my 11th grade of high school. All of the teachers I've had until now teach very well and value the time with students. Senior: Odyssey is a great school! You get yo learn a different language of Greek, which has been an experience in itself. The majority of the teachers care about your overall well-being. Works Here: RMW I can’t think of a better way to spend retirement! I get to give hugs and love while teaching children how to learn and love themselves. My students need differentiated instruction to meet the needs of their different learning styles. We are not a special needs school...we are a school that specializes in meeting the special needs and learning styles of our students. A student once told me, “Before we were dumb, but now we are smart.” Another student told me, “when I grow up and become a great teacher, I’m going to tell my students that it’s because I had a great 4th grade teacher.” At the end of the year last year, one student thanked me for not giving up on them. Truth be told, they taught me more than I have taught them. During my last parent teacher conference, parents cried because they never experienced their children receiving A’s and B’s....
