Senior: Liberty is a fantastic school if you're looking for a really good education. It has an amazing faculty and course structure. It's small, so everyone knows everyone else. Everyone who goes to Liberty wants to be there, which is really nice because it creates an supportive and academic environment. The people at Liberty are really nice, and it's easy to make friends. It has a pretty good variety of classes, although most of the focus is on STEM. There isn't a big variety of art classes or languages, although there are some. The English classes at Liberty are fantastic, and possibly the best part of the whole school. However, if you want to do a lot of extra curriculars outside of school, Liberty is probably not the school for you. Time spent doing homework can range anywhere from one hour (on a good day) to four hours. It can be really hard to balance school life with just life. Liberty is a lot of work. Sophomore: Ridgeview is a wonderful school that allows a student to be challenged. Although homework and stress levels were originally a major problem, Ridgeview's faculty has become much more reasonable in assigning homework and moderating students' workloads. Communication around the school has also improved drastically and students have learned to become comfortable talking to teachers about stress levels and whether they are assigning immense amounts of homework. The faculty overall is amazing...they are caring and extremely understanding. The school however still challenges you and pushes you past your comfort zone. Previously, complaints were often ignored and students' opinions were neglected, however this has become a much less severe problem. Ridgeview Classical Schools overall is a great school.... Parent: We are so grateful for FCMS! The best endorsement I can give comes from my 5.5 year old, who recently expressed feeling really sad about next year, because he thought that he would be going to a new school (when really, he will just be moving to the next classroom). He is so happy and thriving-- it's a very special place where children can follow their interests and go deeper into work that they care about. He adores his teachers, and the children are encouraged to be kind to each other and also, to be self-responsible and advocate for their needs. They take safety seriously, too, which is essential and also, appreciated. I feel good dropping him off, and also feel like his teachers really understand him, as an individual, which is invaluable to me. Parent: We have had two children at Mountain Sage. One is a graduate and one is in the middle school program. It is clear that Mountain Sage has prepared our children academically and supported them emotionally in ways that we could not have imagined. The work ethic, creative approach, knowing of self, curiosity, and breadth of abilities of both our children are a testament to the teachers and administration at Mountain Sage. They graduate well prepared for high school and are ahead of their piers socially and emotionally. Senior: I absolutely love the teaching style at LCS. I haven't had a lecture class for anything other than science since I was in middle school as almost all of the classes are seminar-based. I even have a seminar-based math class! The school is rooted in several 'core virtues' and the school is modeled on Aristotle's teachings of the true, the good, and the beautiful. It is a school that not only prepares you with an education but also with character beyond that of most people in society. they teach you to be able to learn for yourself and to formulate meaningful arguments that will become the greatest weapons against the world. Since LCS is a K-12, I have had the opportunity to attended for ten years. Although I have not enjoyed every minute of it, LCS has cultivated my love for learning and motivated me to continue to study and enjoy learning itself. LCS is HIGHLY recommended.... Read 11 reviews
