Senior: My experience at Divine Savior Holy Angels High School has been amazing. I have made lifelong friends, become more confident in myself, and had an outstanding education. However, there have been some turbulences with these successes. As an all girls school, they did a great job preparing me for success and empowering me to achieve everything I desire. I think this is something all girls deserve, and I feel extremely lucky to have experienced this. On the other hand, it is also a Catholic high school, and as someone who is not religious I often felt confused or excluded from certain experiences. Theology classes were mandatory all four years, and I struggled in some of them because I would not understand many of the class discussions or Bible references. I learned how to manage this, but it was not an easy task. Parent: CMH has gone above and beyond during this pandemic by providing an excellent college prep experience while strictly following all COVID-19 safety parameters. I am very happy with the level of responsiveness by teachers and administrators at this school. While many students in our state have literally missed a year of school, CMH students have been able to study in person, meet with friends, and participate in athletics, arts, and worship. When I decided to send my daughter to CMH, I was a little hesitant because of the money, but I now can confirm that this is money well spent! Many public school parents who have had to watch their children rot at home with no athletic opportunities and canned online lessons, will most likely be paying money down the line to alleviate the inevitable psychological problems this pandemic will cause our state's children.... Alum: Dominican was the perfect high school for me. Dominican lives out the Sinsinawa Dominican values of preaching, community, partnership, and justice, instilling these values in the students who attend. A Catholic culture is ever-present, although the student body is about 60% Catholic. In my experience at Dominican, I was able to have friends from diverse backgrounds and experiences which was really enriching and unique for most schools in the Milwaukee area--reflecting the demographic of the part of the city they live in. Going to Dominican High School is the best decision I have made for myself thus far. They have set me up for success in college by helping me every step of the way, whether I needed them to walk me through things step-by-step or needed to work alone. There are staff members I feel comfortable going to for answering questions and some even for asking for life advice. I have formed friendships here that I know I will have for the rest of my life. Senior: This school is one of the best private schools you can attend in Wisconsin. Every Wednesday is an early release day where students leave the school at 1:10 and head home. The teachers in this school allow you to get the best learning experience by thoroughly explaining topics and assignments. As long as you do your work, you won't have piles of work to get done. For every assignment you will get a due date that will be at least 2 days or longer depending on the teacher and the class. You wont have homework that is due a day after getting it and it gives students more time to get their work done. Another thing that is so great about this school is the lunches. The lunches are great! You can either pay for the lunches with lunch money or bring a home lunch. The school consists of more than 12 clubs and is one of the best schools in Wisconsin for athletics and sports. Alum: Trinity Academy truly prepares students for success at the college level. Trinity gives students a strong foundation in essay writing. Many Trinity teachers test in the college style with short answer and essay formats. Most of the middle and high school teachers have doctorates in their respective fields. They are also extremely supportive of their students. Although Trinity is small, its opportunities for leadership and student involvement are plentiful. However, students do need to take the initiative to be involved. Many students play three-season athletics, found clubs, organize fundraisers, act in theatrical productions, etc. Finally, the faith life at Trinity is incredible. The religion courses are phenomenal and give you a strong foundation in Scripture, the Catechism, papal encyclicals, morals, etc. Opportunities to receive the sacraments are available. Middle School Student: The school is great! This is a really good school for people who are looking to excel and do something in life. I wouldn't recommend this school to people who're just worried about their fashion and relationships. SOME teachers are nice and very helpful. Their response to student drama isn't really that good. Other: I found the school very interesting, I think that their way of teaching is great. Although some of the teachers could do better, meaning on their way of handling the children or teens. Parent: My two children attend Saint Robert, we have been a part of the school for nine years. The curriculum and the language and arts programs are outstanding. Every year, my kids have experienced coaching from their instructors and genuine care from the administrative staff that have helped them become better people. But what I appreciate most about our school is the community. Truly a group of families who support one another and work together for the collective good of our kids. Parent: This is great middle school. They have advanced math up to high school geometry, a good selection of athletics, many clubs such as forensics and engineering, a nice instrumental program, and a great art teacher. The teachers do not inflate grades, which is good because I want my child to be told early on that something she did sucks if it was done poorly. The administration here is overly cautious, but that is probably a good thing when dealing with middle schoolers. Even though it is a private school, most families are solid middle class and the rich ones don't go around acting like they are rich.
