Senior: Sacred Heart is a unique school, with incredible facilities. It helps girls find their voice and encourages us to explore different paths to problem solving. Even though we are in a competitive environment, we are always supportive of each other and encourage each other to do our best. Whether it was in class or during sports, we had fun and enjoyed our time together. I’ve made a great group of diverse friends I know I will keep forever. I also feel very prepared for college. I was excited to be accepted to my top choice university. Sacred Heart has great college placement and an exceptional college counseling group. Parent: My son recently graduated. I am so pleased with the education he received, the friends he has made, and his overall experience. Regis takes the best of the best from the 5 boroughs and NJ/CT/Long Island. My son had boys in his class who commuted 2 hours to school each way. I was afraid that the school would be hyper-competitive with all these great students. I was surprised to find that it was the exact opposite. The boys helped one another. The students who understood the material would put together study guides or tutor the others. The atmosphere was one of Christian charity and helping others. Academically, I do not know of many, if any schools, which are better. Half of my son's class were National Merit commended or Finalists. Parent: The school is truly a dream. Top ranked in the country, few blocks from our apartment, on beautiful 5th Ave overlooking the MET. Most importantly, they engage, cultivate, and support their girls into a rigours education. Junior: Overall, I was incredibly impressed when I first joined Carrollton. I feel comfortable in an all-girls school and nearly every teacher there genuinely teaches well. The campus is gorgeous, but the only downside is the lack of a cafeteria. We sit outside in the hot Florida sun to eat lunch every day, and school lunch isn't even included with the already expensive tuition. Parent: My daughter has completed her Freshman year at Marymount and I can't express enough how incredible the year was for her. Socially she made many new friends, who all have different interests, personalities, and goals. The young woman at Marymount really support one another and encourage each other to try new things. Academically, the faculty is extremely attentive to the students and work with them if they need extra help or explanations. Also, Marymount makes sure the students are on track for the college admissions process. They really get to know the students and help guide them every step of the way. Alum: Convent is a great school for college-driven students. Due to the small size of the school, you are able to have more opportunities to take advanced courses (AP/IB). These types of students have the ability to excel academically and receive all the support they need. In that regard, 10/10. Only reason I did not provide a five star review is due to a lot of the blatant favoritism to students who went to the school for all of their education (K-12) as opposed to students who joined in high school. Senior: My experience at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory has been great! The environment is perfect for any parent that wants their son to evolve into a goal-oriented young man. The character development is part of everything that happens there and it’s incredible. Feels like no teacher or administrator ever misses an opportunity to really “dig in” with the boys. Parent: Malvern faculty and staff have such a special gift tapping into our son's inner strengths. My son went from parochial to public school before finding his home at Malvern. He was quiet and ok with coming to school, doing his best each day. After a few short weeks his team of teachers have worked with him to place him in challenging classes, encouraging his participation in campus events, and stepping out of his comfort zone to explore a student leadership role. His first year provided so much personal awareness and growth. He began his journey learning who he is and how to build on these strengths, as well as recognize where he needs to be challenged. We knew we were missing something and the Malvern staff have been able to help him so quickly and effectively. Parent: We have two boys currently at Cistercian and are so thankful that this is their home. Every Cistercian student has the opportunity to be exactly who they are, without having to put up a false front for their peers. If you're a Lego-loving thespian who just happens to be a great athlete or a robotics wizard who plays the piano and is an all-conference soccer player, this is the place for you. It's not easy, by any stretch of the imagination. The coursework is rigorous and they expect a great deal from the students. Rest assured though, when you are up studying late at night for tomorrow's exams, you are not alone and you are in it with your classmates, your brothers. The Monks and teachers truly care for the students and are top-notch educators. Is Cistercian for everyone? No. There are other prestigious schools in the Dallas area that are much easier. Alum: St. Agnes is wonderful. It’s hard, and gossip runs thick in every student’s blood, but the bonds made and the lessons learned are invaluable. I would recommend this school to you/your child only if you/they are not physically disabled. Unfortunately, St. Agnes has a track record of treating their disabled students very poorly. It’s quite a shame. It’s important to keep your head above the water at St. Agnes. Falling behind is lethal. For some, that may encourage hard work and discipline, but for others with ADHD or autism and the like, it may cause severe executive dysfunction. I would know, because it happened to me. I barely crawled my way out. BUT! The good far outweighs the bad. Please know that self-discipline is something you must learn, lest you sink further and further down the depths of your own procrastination. Senior: I came from a public school and transferred into St. John Bosco during the sophomore year. The school atmosphere was a breathe of fresh air. Teachers and staff have a true sense of care for the students that I didn't find at my previous school. I wasn't a very religious child, but St. John Bosco didn't treat me worse because of this fact. This is a institution for not only religious children, but children who want to better themselves outside of the classroom. Amazing sports teams and clubs.
