Junior: After transferring from a public school during my freshman year, I am absolutely in love with Notre Dame Academy. The academics are top tier, where we are provided with so much support from teachers and administration, who genuinely want to see students succeed. I whole heartedly believe that I could not be more well prepared for college as a junior! The atmosphere at NDA is great and provides all students the chance to not only succeed, but excel. Alum: This Parochial High School in central/southern Campbell County has been a valued resource for over 1/2 Century. Due to the small enrollment #'s, students are exposed to a very personable, learning environment, whereby students are known, and not numbered (as the daunting PS nearby). Though $$ is an issue in attempting to ascertain various teaching aids, supplies, etc., BBHS has been blessed to have experienced a dynamic, Parental involvement (and a dedicated Staff that viably support the School), and take pride in their child's educational, social and spiritual attainment. With the MAC, Mustang fans are able to value their home turf in various sports, rather than travel to neighboring high schools to rent their facilities for sporting events. Hopefully, BBHS can maintain modest tuition costs that enable many Youth in this rurban area to attend this qualitative, Blue Ribbon School, that BBHS has attained recently. Junior: I was on the fence about which high school to go to, but I am so happy I chose Assumption because of the kind people here. I have met many friends that I know I will keep in touch with after high school, and my teachers help me to reach my full potential by always encouraging me. I love how much opportunity there is here, both academically and socially. Assumption has tried their best to accommodate to everyone's situation during the pandemic, and I am pleased with how they are handling it. Their foreign exchange programs and travel opportunities are AMAZING! Because of AHS, I have gained a great friend from Argentina via the Argentina exchange program. The food is rather pricey, but I still love it. The clubs, activities, and elective choices are endless, which is great for helping students discern which career path to follow. Alum: I attended Catholic schools in Louisville in Elementary & High School. When I got out of the Navy I went to a Catholic college. I was hired by DeSales as a Biology & Psychology teacher/Soccer & Tennis Coach. I worked there for 37 years. I was made an Honorary Alumnus of DeSales in 2008! It was one of the best experiences I ever had in my life. DeSales has grown quite a lot since I first walked through the door & I truly believe it is a better school now than it was when I first arrived. Junior: I think our educators and staff are some of the best of the best, with a huge emphasis on pushing for Women in STEM through our amazing science and technology courses. We have an exceptional English and Arts department with some of the most amazing teachers in the state. Mercy pushes young girls through 4 years of performance oriented learning which breeds the women of tomorrow. This school provides an amazing education, but also focuses on an experience to prepare these young women for college and the real world to come after their high school days. I think we lack a strong math department, except the most advanced courses of Pre calc and AP Calculus which are taught by one of the most intelligent people I know. Senior: Ever since I walked into SHDHS, I felt connected to the classmates around me and the teaching staff behind me. There’s always someone you can go to within the school, for that extra bit of help on an assignment or just to chat. SHDHS is open to anybody and everybody with a strong special needs program they make everyone feel included. They even have very strong parent to administration communication. They take the time to individually check in with parents and let them know how their son or daughter is getting along within school. You almost feel as a family or a community due to the smaller class sizes. This is done purposely to get you closer with your graduating class because these are the people you are going to spend the next 4 years of your life with. Alum: St. Mary gave me the opportunity to grow in my faith and taught me the valuable lessons of continuing my education, long after I graduated from high school.
