Junior: The academics are top-notch and the college advisors do a great job finding the best fit for each student. Every teacher I have had has shown me that they care about me and they have helped me get the most out of every class. The athletics really bring the students together as everyone is part of a team. Spiritually, the school also stands out as we have weekly Mass and prayer assemblies as well as several clubs dedicated to spirituality. The only complaint I would have about Priory is that the cost for the school has been steadily rising over the past years due to subpar enrollment. Junior: Environment like no other. Tight-knit group of guys that truly enjoy being around each other everyday; everyone is included. It might sound a bit cliché, but there really is a sense of brotherhood at SLUH that I don’t think I would have anywhere else. There is an atmosphere of friendly competition around the halls that drives me to be a better student, athlete, and person. Alum: I am a recent graduate from Visitation Academy, and I can confidently say that it was my second home! I had been there all my life, and there was no other place I would want to go to school. The amazing women in my class always showed me love and support. We grew up together, and I honestly consider all 81 of them my family. Alum: I transferred to Villa in 6th grade, right before middle school. The decision to switch to Villa is one of the best decisions I have made to this day. I found my people here, found myself, and found some of the best teachers and faculty you can find anywhere. Villa truly and deeply cares about each and every one of their students and it is so evident in even the smallest of things. Even after I have graduated, I still keep in touch with some of the faculty. The same goes for the friendships I made at Villa, to this day I am still so close with my friend group and even those not in my core group of friends as we still talk in our grade group chat on a weekly basis. Sophomore: I am currently a sophomore at St. Joe, and I love it. I am very excited for next year and I look forward to many classes, like anatomy and English. I love the science program here and our science labs and facilities are brand new and so much fun to use. St. Joe has made it very easy to find opportunities to get involvement in almost any field to add to your resume for college, and they have many connections to nearby hospital programs and fun competitions to get academic recognition. I learned about the St. Louis Brain Bee, a bee for neuroscience held by Washington University, my freshman year, and it has developed a love for neuroscience and psychology. I would like to pursue neuroscience and biology in college. There are many bright students who go here, as well as incredible athletes. Parent: Two of my daughters attended Barat last year, and one the year prior. Barat Academy must be the best kept secret in St. Louis, because they do amazing things for their students. Being a smaller school, the teachers and administrators are able to spend the time and energy getting to know each student. They really put the effort into bringing out the best in each kid and are always there with support and challenge them with positive reinforcement. I have watched my daughters grow and mature with the care, guidance, and challenges presented to them at Barat. The positive environment provided for my girls at Barat has not only helped their confidence grow, they have also built healthy friendships with the other students at Barat. Senior: I loved the sisterhood, the traditions, and the sense of leadership that girls take on here. Throughout your time here you really get to know the place and become comfortable and confident in your own skin. I loved Incarnate and the opportunities it gave me. One thing I regret is attending high school during the pandemic and the teacher shortage. These things really threw a wrench in many people's experience during high school, but I think Incarnate handled them wonderfully. Senior: Duchesne High School definitely gives students a competitive edge when it comes to college readiness. There are many ACC and AP classes that save plenty of money in the long run, and will possibly shorten your time spent in college. I personally have taken almost a year's worth of college credit, and saved thousands because of the plethora of ACC and AP classes they have available. Senior: During my time at St. Pius X, I learned a lot about myself and who I want to be in the future. We are told from the moment we step foot in the building on the first day that we can forge our own path throughout our four years here. Teachers and Admin are always at hand to help anyone at any time. Our athletics are outstanding and we are given the facilities to better ourselves not only mentally but physically and spiritually. I was a little scared at first because it was a new environment, and I didn’t know anybody there like I did at my previous school. Once I was registered, and got my classes. It’s truly wasn’t a bad experience. The staff and classmates where welcoming, and very understanding! I didn’t have trouble with anybody there my last 2 years. They make sure to get to know there students, and they try to accommodate to their learning style.
