Junior: Overall, I was incredibly impressed when I first joined Carrollton. I feel comfortable in an all-girls school and nearly every teacher there genuinely teaches well. The campus is gorgeous, but the only downside is the lack of a cafeteria. We sit outside in the hot Florida sun to eat lunch every day, and school lunch isn't even included with the already expensive tuition. Senior: I have been attending Belen Jesuit Preparatory School since I was a Freshman in the 2020/21 academic school year. I have loved the challenging academic curriculum the school has to offer, and the very supportive teachers I have had along the years. 9th grade was no doubt my most difficult year, but thankfully my teachers and guidance counselor were there by my side helping me get accustomed to the new school. Since my first year I have been running for the Track & Field Team as a 100m, 200m, & 400m sprinter. In the Spring of my Sophomore year I started playing Football for Belen. Since it was all new to me, I started out as a Wide Receiver, got moved to play Running Back, played Punter for some time, and finally got switched to play Cornerback; where I shine the most. I have loved every second I’ve been blessed to play these sports and wouldn’t want it any other way. Sophomore: St. Thomas is a well rounded experience. There are a wide variety of clubs and activities to get involved. The accademic support is excellent and they give you the tools you need to succeed. They also give plenty of opportunitues to gain your service hours through volunteering or various charities. The teachers I had as an incoming freshman were all excellent. I am really looking forward to my Sophomore year. The one thing I would have chaged as a freshman was my luch time period A, very early to eat lunch. I hope next year is a later time. One thing I really enjoyed was my elective, guitar class. Niche User: I cannot say enough amazing things about this school. Many do not know that it has small class sizes and fought the archdiocese to remain that way, even though they have an enormous campus and could easily fit three times the amount of students. Their course options are the longest list of any other school I have seen. The STEAM program is a spectacular hands on career preparation honors program, including their health sciences program that partners with next door Mercy Hospital so that students walk over and take courses there. The administration, teachers, coaches are welcoming and supportive. They want to help you succeed. I have only ever heard amazing reviews about ILS from parents and students. I highly recommend you attend their open-house which is impressive. Student acceptances to colleges are on-par or better than other private schools in Miami. Sophomore: Lourdes is an amazing school. My first year I felt so welcomed, like I had been there for ever. There will be many people that you meet that are the sweetest. The academics can be tough at times, especially in the later years, but they truly prepare you for the college experience. There are also many events during the year including, OLLA Fest, Blue and White Week, Welcome Week, and much more. Additionally, there are so many ways to get involved here. There are a variety of clubs, service projects, and much more to discover. You can even join student council as a leadership aspect. However, the primary thing to note is that it implants faith into everything we do. We come together as a school community for Mass every month or so and we even have the chance to worship in the chapel in the morning hours. Senior: Four years at this school has given me all the tools l need to have various college options and it has prepared me for collegiate athletics. This is a homework heavy high school and the curriculum is college prep. Theres alot of clubs and extracurricular activities so there’s something for everyone. Every season has different sports offered so you can participate in more than one each year. We have a very involved traveling high school band if you play an instrument, there’s college tours around Florida, and an award winning debate team. Senior: Chaminade-Madonna is a Catholic private school under the Marianist chapter. It’s a small school with a student body around 500 people. Teachers are always happy and willing to suggest enrichment, tutoring, and out-of-school programs. The clubs are interesting in theory, but some can fall a bit short in their organization and execution. Recently, though, there have been many faculty additions that help breathe new life into the school, and the SGA + ambassadors continue to work on making the student experience better than ever. The academics include AP courses and dual enrollment through St. Thomas University, which is also constantly changing. This upcoming year, the school plans on introducing AP Physics I. Again, the size of the school makes it difficult to have certain opportunities, but the work that the faculty and students put in makes up for that. Overall, CMCP is a great high school.... Alum: As a recent SJPII alum (class of 2022), I can say I had a great experience at SJPII. By far, the best thing about SJPII was the teachers/admin - many were outstanding, committed, and truly enjoyed teaching their different subjects. The school community is very warm and welcoming. The football/basketball/volleyball games can be especially popular, and the whole community often comes out to the biggest games of the season. I enjoyed the many classes of the Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment curriculum, which allowed me to earn many college credits with a manageable amount of work. The private education at SJPII is certainly a great aspect, and it's the most affordable you'll find around Boca Raton for a school of equal caliber. Senior: I am entering my senior year at Archbishop Coleman F Carroll. With the past almost 4 years I’ve attended, it’s been an amazing experience! I was able to meet amazing friends and teachers that changed my life for the better. Everyone there: students, teachers, staff are down to earth and always makes sure that God is in the center of all. The classes aren’t big, they are small so that way every student can be able to learn and have one on one time with the teachers. Coming from personal experiences, I didn’t have any friends growing up and I was always bullied for the way I talked and acted because of my autism, but at Carroll they treat everyone equally and love everyone like family! Along with that, I was able to meet to whom I call my best friends. Senior: My experience at Champagnat Catholic School has been anything but ordinary. Throughout these years, I have gained so much knowledge not only in an academic perspective , but socially.
