Parent: This has been our first year at the Atonement catholic Academy. We moved from CA last summer and our main concern was to find a school for our sons with both high academic standards and Christian values. AA has it all. The teachers have exceeded our expectations, the staff is helpful and caring. We have met wonderful families that have welcomed our family as their own. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. There are rules, of course, but the learning environment is incredible. The kids are treated with love and respect. Senior: From the day I arrived I've loved Incarnate Word! Everything from the modular schedule to the teachers to the best friends I've made! I really enjoyed the modular schedule at Incarnate Word. It allowed me to get my homework done during the day and taught me important time management skills. That way when I went home I hardly had to do any homework. I just had to study. I'm glad I learned time management skills by going through the schedule because I feel this has prepped me for college! Another thing the teachers there are great! They really want you to succeed and are always there to help you out. The class sizes are only about 15-23 people so the teachers are easy to access outside of class if you have questions or need help on a concept. Regarding the school atmosphere, all the girls here are very nice and we uplift one another. Senior: Antonian is such a great school, that has an even more supportive community that encompasses it! Not only do they provide and amazing education for all, but have numerous State winning athletic programs, such as Basketball, Cross Country and Volleyball. Their cheer and dance programs are also outstanding as they continue to bring National Championships to the school as well as being great spirit leaders for the school. The school offers so many different clubs and organizations with excited staff that are eager to engage with their students with their endeavors. The campus ministry program is fantastic as they offer IHS retreats for students of all grade levels, Kairos retreats exclusively for seniors, have retreats for every grade level, allow students to help lead weekly mass as Extraordinary ministers, lectors and be in choir. Parent: We moved to Texas from Florida and our son was a transfer Senior. He is both very bright, and very athletic, so we were looking for a school that would meet him both places. I cannot say enough about Central Catholic - from the admissions team, to administration, to coaches and teachers, and most importantly, to the young men at Central. Everyone really went out of their way to make him feel welcome and to encourage him to dive right in and get involved. He took very challenging classes and was admitted to most of the colleges to which he applied, receiving very generous scholarship offers. Central's Brotherhood is not a joke - the boys included my son, the teachers and coaches pushed him and encouraged him, and the end result was a great year for my son. He is actually jealous of his younger brother who will begin at Central next year. Freshman: I chose St. Anthony’s for its focus on development of the whole person. There is a down to earth, work hard for the education you deserve feeling, opposed to one of “entitlement” in some of the other private Catholic schools. Everyone is friendly and accepted. Teachers are there to make each individual student important and prepare them for college. This school is growing in enrollment each year which says a lot for its increasingly hard work and unique programs like this year’s medical and language dual credit programs. Senior: I’ve been attending Providence since 7th grade! I am a senior now, class of 2020! Great school, but I think Providence deserves a lot more enrollment. There is so much to be offered! My favorite part about Providence is the Fine Arts Department! Providence is most popularly known for the amazing Fine Arts department! I’m heavily active in Choir and the Theatre Department and Visual Arts Department is very popular, too. Dance is also very good!
