Parent: As a graduate of SG decades ago, and a parent of 2 students (one who graduated already), I have been pleasantly surprised at the positive change at the school. There is a much greater degree of diversity among the student body. The stunning campus speaks for itself. I greatly appreciate the responsiveness of faculty and administration. My children are challenged and the graduate, who attends an academically rigorous college, says he felt very well prepared. The current student loves the school. The one area of weakness seems to be the food so that has not changed since i went there. The school has amazing offerings for extracurriculars. My children participate in a sport which does very well among its competitors. The athletic facilities are phenomenal. Overall, we are very pleased and feel fortunate to have our children attend SG! Parent: The community is truly warm and supportive. The school provides student with high quality, rigorous courses, which profoundly trains students ability in preparation for the transition to college. The humanities course for sophomore is especially challenging, in which students are required to read about twenty or more books throughout the year. The canon includes great literature and philosophical text such as Paradise Lost, the Dubliners, and Summa Theologia. Regarding the athletics , Abbey gives students a myriad of opportunities to express their athletic talents and hard works throughout the season. Alum: I started at the school in 6th grade all the way through 12th grade. The school is very welcoming and really gives students that 1on1 action for student success. The school loves when students reach out to their teachers when they are struggling so that they can be the best student in their minds. They have a diverse spread of programs for sports and THE ARTS, and lots of community service opportunities. This place shaped me for who I am today as both a student and a performer both theatrically and musically, and gave me such a confidence boost in my education. Parent: Middlebridge School was a true gift for our son AND our family. While he is very bright, his first 2 years of high school were challenging both academically and socially. MBS provided structure and support while also instilling a growth mindset. We are grateful to the phenomenal faculty and staff who go above and beyond to get to know the students and figure out how to motivate them, build their self esteem and provide nurturing growth opportunities when necessary. The level of feedback and family support are truly incredible and even when our child encountered challenges, we were all supported to learn and grow through them. Every single person my son worked with, whether in the classroom, dormitory or sports team, was able to build on his strengths while also creating awareness around his areas for improvement. We loved that he could take college classes his senior year to give him a taste of the kind of preparation he'd need next year. I only wish we had found MBS sooner!... Read 15 reviews
