Parent: My children’s experiences at Culver hav given them considerable advantages and opportunities. The AP courses have exceeded my expectations with many choices and high scores. Parent: The best thing about La Lumiere School is that the school values and focuses on the individual development of each and every student in a very academically challenging but an almost family like environment. A lot of the members of this community come to consider this place as their second home. The level of devotion into the education and the student’s well-being by the school’s faculties and staffs was well proven during the most difficult time of COVID-19 era (i.e. 2020), when this school became the very first among the similar private educational institutes in the same region to resume the on-campus classes while putting into place a rigorous system to keep the community free of COVID-19. The message was clear that the school was committed to ensure that the students (and the parents) would continue to receive what they deserved even during the worst time of human society. Senior: I really have enjoyed my time at Marquette. Overall it is a great school that I am glad I am able to graduate from. Though I have made many lasting memories and have enjoyed my time, Marquette can sometimes be not so great. During my sophomore year we went through 2 geometry/trigonometry teachers and were left without a geometry teacher for about a month during the second semester before a replacement was found. I would say the amount of new teachers and the constant changing of teachers would be Marquette’s biggest fault. They’re really not the greatest at being able to keep their teachers and I have found that quite troublesome. During my time at Lakewood, I was able to be involved in so many activities ranging from sports, to the arts, to leadership councils.
