Senior: Annie Wright has been such an amazing institution to study at for my high school career. As a full IB Diploma student, I found the courses challenging, thought-provoking, and fascinating! The small community and class sizes are very beneficial to creating the best learning environment. Additionally, community events and traditions build long-lasting connections and memories that you can carry with you through life. Parent: Our youngest child is in the 4th year at NWS. Our oldest child is in a different school (senior) and that school has a very high rank with this site. The ranking is only as relevant as your child and family fit. NWS has a strong social justice and sustainability focus, integrated with a thoughtful curriculum. One distinction is their Humanities program. The curriculum integrates language arts, social studies, and geography in Middle School and history, English, philosophy, art history, and literature in Upper School. I did not realize the full meaning of the benefits until I was in a debate with my student with a very integrative argument! The real world is integrative, so why not educate our students that way. The teachers and administrators are passionate about building a whole child and cultivating a caring school culture. Alum: I had a truly transformative experience at FR. The school's rigorous academics, paired with its supportive, all-girls environment helped me become a confident and engaged person. The tuition price is steep, but my parents and I think it was worth it for the college counseling program alone! My teachers really knew me and cared about my well-being inside and outside the classroom. Compared to friends at other private schools who got cut from sports teams and tended to get lost in the crowd, my experience at Forest Ridge challenged me to try new things and supported me to really put myself out there. This school knows how to talk the talk by leading with their hearts and heads and adapting to lead, not follow, excellence in education standards. This year has been off to a great start. West Sound is as magical in person as it has been remote. I have faith that West Sound will continue to lead and bring us back to a new normal. I would highly recommend considering West Sound. Freshman: I am a student at Spring Street International School, and I can confirm there is no other school like it! The education presents a great curriculum, better than any other school Ive been to. The international program makes for a lovely group of people, who bring new experiences and cultures to the table. The AP program is phenomenal, it is challenging and presents a true college-level learning environment. Alum: Auburn Adventist Academy is a great place where kids have opportunities to be involved in ways they might not be able to be in public school. They have an amazing music program, and the staff there are very friendly. I would recommend the academy to anyone who wants to experience a smaller, but tight knit, high school experience. Parent: Our daughter is finishing her freshman year. First child at ELHS. We are thrilled with the level of Christ-center education and overall learning. There are ample sports available and being a smaller school, the ability to participate is excellent at every skill level. The staff is terrific and it's a great campus for the smaller student body to expand into over time. There are pros/cons to big public vs small private. I went to a huge public (Puyallup HS) and Evergreen is a much better Christian environment with tougher academics for my children. We intend to have both children graduate from ELHS. Alum: I loved going to Upper Columbia Academy. I think it's greatest strength is the staff-student relationship. The staff truly care about each student and it shows. They're willing to work with you and want you to succeed. The academic programs are high quality and the athletic department is very good and lots of fun.
