Senior: Jesuit is a school that demands excellence out of its students from day one. Because of these high expectations, the work load is something that every student has to adjust to fairly quickly to avoid falling behind. What I most appreciate about attending Jesuit High School is that this school taught me more than just lessons in the classroom. I was able to learn great organizational and time management skills. I also learned how to meet new people everyday since the average class size is about 250. What I would change about Jesuit is the lack of opportunity for students to express themselves at school. A lot of schools have a uniform, this is not what I am referring to. Junior: I don’t you’d get the academic opportunities that you get here anywhere else across the state of Louisiana. The amount of standardized test prep a student will receive here is unlike any other. There’s a reason we have so many nation merit scholars and ACT 30+ students. It’s an amazing school due to not just academics, but the culture and the life-long connections you make from the brotherhood you join once you enroll as well. The student life on campus is amazing due to the vast amount of activities you can do. From rugby to quidditch and from quiz bowl to wolves on wheels, this school has anything and everything a student would want to do. Everybody can fit in with any group on campus because of the brotherhood that is built here as soon as you step in campus. Senior: I have been with Holycross since 5th grade, through those early years in middle school I believed that this was the best school ever. The school atmosphere was great the teachers really care for you when you are there, they want you to succeed and make it to the next year. The seniors were great at leading the school and getting all of us excited. They give the students many opportunities to get extra help in classes and they also have many options in after school activities so there is something for everyone. The Highschool side lets us be more independent such as being responsible for getting our work done, while they also keep us mindful of college and what we will have to give to make it through as well as material they teach us....
