Scotts Valley High School is a great school and has great academic programs, being an IB school. The teachers are well prepared and all the administrators are very helpful. The school counselors are alway in the office if you have any questions. They also come into classrooms once in a while for college presentations to make sure that everyone has the information they need to graduate and/or to get into a good college. The only down side of this school is that it does not have a lot of money for new equipment and other new resources. I myself have found that this school and the employees here have prepared me for college and my future.

I am a senior at Scotts Valley High School, as well as a full IB student. The IB, or the International Baccalaureate program, is a rigorous academic program that I feel has prepared me for University. The teachers at the school in general are good and supportive.
The school has some school spirit but not in abundance. Attendance at the occasional game is high, but the average is not so much. Homecoming week and other spirit days are high points in student activities.
There are many clubs at the school which encourage student involvement.
Finally, in my experience, SVHS has a warm and safe community.
I am currently a second-semester senior at Scotts Valley High School and I have really enjoyed my experience at this school. I have attended this school for four years now and although I am a little biased, I believe this is the best all-around school in this area. There are quality academics and athletics and the people are great. The administration is usually very helpful and kind. This is a very safe school, and I have always felt comfortable here. Sadly, there is not as much diversity here as I would like, but there are definitely a lot of personalities which makes this school super fun. There is plenty to get involved with, and if you go here you definitely want to because it will make your time a whole lot better. The campus itself does not have the best facilities, we do not have a pool or turf field. Overall, Scotts Valley High School is a good school and I have really enjoyed my time here.
