Scotlandville was great my freshman and sophomore year, but after that it became boring and more strict. Scotlandville used to be a fun school all about academics and having fun, but it all changed when our new principal started working there. I love my school,GO HORNETS, but the school is so unorganized and messy. The janitors don't clean anything its like they are getting paid for nothing. I feel like our break for lunch shouldn't be 25 minutes I feel like it should be 45 to an hour. The teachers are never there I really don't understand how they expect us to learn. The one thing I do like about Scotlandville is that they have great sports. Their football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and track and field team is phenomenal. The school is not that safe a fight can break out anywhere at anytime.
Review Scotlandville Magnet High School
Scotlandville High is a great school for engineering, the program is very eventful, challenging , and organized. The Environment is some what refreshing, because there are a lot of positive things that go on at school. We have awesome students at school in different extra curricular activities. One I thing I would change is the safety essential , by placing metal detectors in classroom building for safety. I think Scotlandville should just be an engineering and magnet school, they should cut out center of excellence and only except achievers and high performing students. The faculty can do better with cracking down on kids and behavior, though the had a good staff. I think we just need to a better hiring manager. The athletic program at scotlandville is awesome , from the coaches to the players. Scotlandville has produced greatness anxiety over achievers.
My overall experience at Scotlandville Magnet High School went from very enjoyable and exciting to simply dreadful. One thing I absolutely did not like about the school was its guidance clerks service. As it came down to students, I hated the fact that from the moment any student opened the door the Guidance Clerks were very unengaged and nonchalant as to what students needs were. If anything could be changed about the school I think it should be the staff engagement with students more often and the level of school spirit and positive energy.
