The ac academics have become bad and out of the control of students, parents, and often teachers. They kids are overburdened with teaching to the test and are not learning material but how to pass tests. The schedules are computer generated and kids have little opportunity to give input or, god forbid, fix anything. Very little support is given for tutoring or extra time or help outside of school day. Popular classes seem to go to certain groups or kids. Again, the workload is for work's sake and is beyond stressful.

I think the teachers are great and it's a small, lovely school district. I think the teacher's could be even more successful if allowed to do their job without administration believing that testing, grading teachers, hiding flaws, and appearances for appearances sake matter. What matters is the kid's safety, joy, learning, enthusiasm, and happiness.
All topics are addressed but the school likes to ignore that these are real issues that occur more than they want to admit. We have had driving deaths, heroin deaths, drugs and drinking on campus, and still the high school likes to believe it's so great and to sweep too many things under the carpet. Even if it's a small percentage, each and every case should be handled with the utmost care.
