It's hard to describe what being at Sacred Heart is like. I'll start with one word: family. Being at an all girl's school for the past four years has opened my mind and my heart. The girls here are not just my friends, but they are my family. Through the five goals and criteria, I've learned what it means to be independent and but I've also learned to depend on others when I'm in need. The community here thrives on connection and understanding and everyone is welcome. Since the class sizes are so small, you get more time in your classes to ask questions and the teachers don't move on until you understand a concept or the task at hand. Most classes are discussion based which means there are no wrong answers; students are encouraged to talk freely with guidance from the teacher. The idea of leaving this school behind after graduation is sad, but I know I will always have a home at Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart is a totally different school experience. The atmosphere and support by peers and faculty are rare yet overflowing at Sacred Heart. It being a smaller school gives students more opportunities to branch out and really learn more about yourself. Also, the smaller classes give ample time for teachers to have one on one with students and make sure we are all up to speed and prepared. Not only is Sacred Heart just a high school but a boarding school. Students are able to make over the border connections you cant made anywhere else. Founded almost 200 years ago we are always growing and embedding technology into class time while keeping our timeless traditions alive. I'm very happy to be going to this school and wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.
Berchmans Academy is an excellent school with a very nurturing, supportive environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, respect for others, and community involvement. My son thrived in the small classes.
