School Without Walls has been great. It is a perfect choice for a student that wants to be challenged, and receive a more rigorous education than any other school in DC. Due to it's small size, teachers can offer direct help to students, and there are counselors and support staff to talk to at all times. On the other hand, the small size means that their is poor choice of sports teams (compared to other schools, like Wilson), and an average amount of clubs to choose from. Some students that row crew or participate in other sports not offered at Walls are allowed to participate in local teams, like the Wilson Crew. Walls itself doesn't have many facilities, and instead, we use GWU's amazing conference halls, dining areas, and gym, when needed. Many students eat out for lunch, while others bring their own lunch, to eat at school, or somewhere else.

School Without Walls shaped who I am as a learner and as a person. I made lifelong connections with teachers, community members, administrators, and friends. This school fosters a sense of community and treats students as equals in their path of learning. I took classes on things I was interested in to fulfill my requirements. Learning should be fun, and at School Without Walls it is!
What I like about School Without Walls is the teachers here are very helpful and positive they always point you in the right directions for things and make sure that you stay on track. They have great safety here also, I feel very safe when i’m at school. Everyone in this school is very friendly it’s all positive vibes and we have great team work here. What I would like to see change in this school is more bonding activities like a whole school outing, maybe some of the work we have to do here can be different and I think they should add more school floors because our school is literally one floor.
