From School One

School One was built for one purpose: to offer students a high school, centered on their individuality and creativity, which challenges them to tackle the questions that matter most. We’re passionate. We’re caring. And we’ve spent five decades helping students make their own choices, find their footing, and thrive. Our graduates go on to colleges and elite art schools across the country, and more importantly, they go on to be engaged members of their community.

Best high school a parent could ask for! Excellent education with small class sizes. It's personal... advisors and teachers communicate regularly so you always know what's going on with your child. No worries, I drop my boys off at school knowing they are safe, getting the education they need and they are enjoying it! How many parents can say that about their child's high school! My 3 sons have all attended School One and love it. We highly recommend them!

My daughter just finished her first year at School One as a Sophomore and we could not be happier with the education and experience she has gotten so far.
Her classes truly have the differentiated education that the public school had promised and failed to deliver. The quality of her work and depth of understanding of subjects has grown so much with the individualized instruction, feedback from her teachers and support School One provides. She has been pushed to produce her best work as opposed to enough to pass the test.
The environment at School One is empowering for students and leads to a better experience. Respect for the thoughts and contributions of students is evident in how decisions are made and rules enforced, and this fosters the students respecting each other and the faculty.
Our daughter's love for learning was dying before School One and this year brought back that spark she used to have for achieving academically and focused her on achieving her goals.
All three of my kids have attended and graduated from School One over the past nine years. They have excelled at writing and arts, and we also know kids at School One who have excelled at math and science, as well as the arts. This is a whole education in a community that completes our family. Advisers and teachers KNOW their students. My kids were never one of many; they were themselves valued and respected as each student is valued and respected. The teacher:student ratio is a big contributor to individual successes. The classes are quirky and interesting, but rigorous; as a parent, I've learned so much through my kids' homework and the information they've brought home.....things I did not learn or did learn in a way that did not inspire. Each of my kids got into the college of their choice, receiving solid merit scholarship that enables us to continue to support their educational choices and career dreams. School One will always hold a special place in our family.
