Overall a great school, too bad it is closing/being merged. The atmosphere is very friendly and everybody is overall very welcoming. There is nerd culture but it isn't a big problem because of the lack of cliques and stuff. The food could be better but that goes for every high school really. The teachers are probably the best part about the school because they take the time to get to know each student and care for them and see them as more than a grade but as a person.

My enrollment into SST completely shattered my previous experiences in school. Throughout all my years in SST, I have never been to a school with a more closely knit support group of teachers, administrators, parents, and students than this one. Despite SST's small number of students and teachers to match, compared to larger high schools, our community ensures that everyone feels welcomed and treated fairly regardless of their social background. Although SST is a great school in every aspect, there are a couple things that could make it even better. A major drawback to SST is that it virtually has no physical education or a legitimate sports team, besides ultimate frisbee. In my opinion, to give SST students a more healthier 4 years in high school, there needs to be a physical education elective.
Teachers are friendly and form healthy relationships with students.

Classes are generally demanding but there is much to be desired in terms of class options, as there is many classes unavailable to students here.
