School of Engineering & Arts at Olson Reviews

This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest elementary schools I’ve seen (and I have seen quite a few!). They teach some very high level science topics and have lots of fun, hands-on engineering projects. The part of this school that is the most famous (and my favorite) is easily the Halloween Pumpkin Drop. In this event, all the classrooms compete to design the best pumpkin container to protect it from the 2-Story drop off of the roof. It is very fun! Additionally, when I went there, the students were able to design the new playground that was built in 2012 (or 2013, I am not entirely sure). This school has an entirely different approach on learning, and it’s great!

Excellent teachers, staff, and administrators. Great community and good science based learning programs.
I came from a bigger school when SEA started, but I love how close the smaller school made us all. Although It was racially diverse, there were definitely more boys than girls (at least in my grade). The teachers were pretty great. It was very organized. All of the desks, chairs and math books are all newer. The playground used to be pretty small but they redid it and there's a zip line. The food's iffy but it's public school food, if oh don't like it just pass a lunch. I would 100% recommend this school. I really did learn a lot.
