SAS was definitely the best investment I made in high school. The teachers are great and they REALLY prepare us for the exams. I did almost all the work assigned and I did well on all my AP tests. The opportunity to do that many college classes was also a huge blessing. Almost everyone in my graduating class got their college degree before their high school diploma! Also, thanks to SAS, I did all my college chemistry classes and aced them. This helped me greatly once I transferred to FIU. What I will say is that SAS is a LOT of hard work and it requires dedication, but, if you stick through it, you will reap great rewards!

School for Advanced Studies Homestead is a life changing school that prepares you for college and helps speed up the time of obtaining a Bachelor's degree through dual enrollment and Advanced Placement courses. The teachers are some of the best in the county and make their subjects fun to learn. Even though it's not a traditional high school there are still fun events like Homecoming, Prom, and Grad Bash. There is no sports at the school but one can still play sports at one's home school such as basketball, soccer, and football. All the peers here have a common purpose and a shared identity, which is to further our knowledge and opportunities going into a university. Overall the school isn't the easiest but is still fun and helps one mature as a individual planning to enter a 4-year university.
In addition to having some of the best teachers and administrators in the state, SAS does an extremely good job of preparing its students for higher education and beyond. The staff are dedicated to the academic performance of their students and often offer free tutoring on their own time without scheduling an appointment. SAS is for students who are driven and have passion and will work hard for want they want to achieve. Before coming to SAS I had not taken a single Advanced Placement course, however my grades were much better than they were at my previous high school. This goes to show the quality of the teachers at SAS.
