It’s not a terrible school compared to a lot however in district 211 it is by far the worst, nobody has any school spirit, the athletics are borderline laughable, there are fights every other week, more and more kids drop out every year, nobody cares about anything, the amount of drugs is insane, overall it’s just not a welcoming community. Pep assembly’s happen rarely and are usually short, only the popular few are invited to participate in them so the rest of us doze off. spirit weeks nobody even dresses up. The food isn't good but it’s edible, the new cell phone policy is completely ridiculous and does the exact opposite of prepare kids for college when no one will be contacting their parents or locking up their phones when they’re texting in class. Overall disappointing high school experience especially seeing other schools in the district having such a better experience.

Although the school has a high rating, the environment is competitive and sometimes toxic. I appreciate most of the teachers, but some just shouldn’t work with students. Overall, my 4 years of high school were exhausting, but eye opening. I hope that students continue to embrace diversity. Nonetheless, the school needs to establish the notion that students hold the most importance, not a paycheck or ratings. In pursuit of maintaining an image, the school outs students on the line.
Starting my freshmen year of high school, I couldn’t wait to finally leave the school. As a senior I am very disappointed with my school. There would be physical or verbal fights almost every other week at my school. Students are very disrespectful to the teachers. There have been many instances of bullying and nothing is done about it. Senior year I took many AP classes and all of the teachers were the best teachers I have ever had. AP and honors teachers are the only teachers that prepare you for college. There is a very big academic gap between students and the administration does nothing to resolve it, instead they push them to take more higher level classes that increases the struggle and lower grades. I am also very disappointed in the involvement at our school. We barely have any assemblies or fun after school events in comparison to other D211 schools.
