Schaeffer Academy is an amazing school. It is a private school that I recommend for K-12 students. I am a soon to be 8th grade student of Schaeffer. I've been at Schaeffer since Kindergarten and I've had a great schooling. Schaeffer is a private, Christian school filled with quality, kind, and involved teachers who care a lot about their students. Even though Schaeffer is a pretty small school, through my experience I believe I have developed socially and mentally. Being surrounded by Christian kids with good families has made me a better person. All schools have bullies and that's something no school can control. Overall Schaeffer is great at handling bullying with teachers who would gladly listen to me and sincerely care about my problems . Schaeffer is and exceptional school that challenges its students educationally and in their character.

With a rich white-washed Christian student body, fitting in was never easier. If you want 5 extracurriculars to pick from that you won't have time for, this school is perfect. Included are bullying teachers who have taught here for 20+ years who don't know any modern teaching techniques, so you'll get an education fit for an ancient Roman complete with mandatory dead Latin. The cultural expectation is an A, and if you're under that you're considered below average. This school finds every way to nickel and dime and cares more about profit. Super uncomfortable chairs that slip and slide all over is the norm. We're required to bring a sack lunch, only half of the six microwaves work, and the lines are always crazy long. We only get food on Tuesdays and Fridays and that's only thanks to the seniors. The Tuesday pizza is atrocious, the slices are never cut even and they taste like cardboard. Not to mention how uncomfortable the uniforms are. You'd have a better time in prison.
I went to Schaeffer from kindergarten through my graduation. I deeply appreciate the classical education that I received but I and several other students believe that the school ihas evolved into something different. The administration has really cracked down on rules, regulations and security which on some accounts is a good thing, but saying that the students cannot put up posters to promote school functions or extracurricular activities and sports because it "clutters the hallways and makes things look unorderly" is verging on obscene. School is supposed to be when the students find their own identity and how they choose to express themselves: how can they properly find their way into an adult world in a restrictive box? Now, mind you, this criticism is not directed at the school's teaching methods or material but how the school itself is run. Overall, it is a fairly good school and students will thrive there if they are set on relentlessly working towards success.
