Throughout all my four years of going here it has been a blast! I began getting more involved my freshman year in sports and I don't regret it! Got to meet lots of classmates and staff members who were all really kind and nice and made some new friends! The atmosphere around the school was great and there was rarely any drama and when there was, the staff members always made sure to keep everyone one safe and handled it well! The teachers were all really kind, as well, and worked hard to make sure I passed whenever I struggled and really showed how much they cared through their efforts and actions! The only reason why It's not 5 stars is because I think the school can improve on offering more mandatory classes that will really help students for the rest of their lives like personal finance and also more diverse classes that allow people to explore their interests and passions so there is more to choose from for elective classes. Overall, thank you for such a great experience SHS!

One thing I love about Scappoose High School is the tight knit community it forms. A large part of the school spirit comes from the athletics. Not only do a large amount of students show up to support their fellow athletes, many other people of the Scappoose community come out as well.
However, the school itself needs improvements. I would like to see more advanced classes and more career specific courses offered. Also, the actual school facilities need upgrading, and some teachers are questionable in their ability to educate students.
I love Scappoose High School. Scappoose school in general has helped me succeed through out my 12 years of school. I did not know how to read until I was in the 2nd grade and all the staff at grant watts put all their effort into helping me succeed. I believe that Scappoose High School is still helping me. It might not be in the same way as the elementary school, but they still are helping me get into the college that I want to attend. If you are looking into Scappoose High School I definitely would recommend it not just because of the academics but because we have great sports and Scappoose high school treats you like you're a family not just another number that the teachers get paid for.
