One thing that can be agreed on is the prominent diversity at SWMHS and countless extracurriculars that are open to students to encourage school involvement. The environment is pretty comfortable; almost everyone is very accepting and open, so it's fairly easy to make friends. There are some issues with staffing and money distribution though, so I think that the school should prioritize making students' learning as efficient as possible, given that it's a bit understaffed, and a bit too much money goes to the football team. Otherwise, it's a decent school to go to, though for people moving to the area, there are definitely much better high schools around here.

My experience attending my high school was a relatively good experience due to my broad groups of friends and my teacher that made my courses interesting with their many assignments and fun teaching styles. I joined choir and theatre productions all throughout high school. I made and maintained friendships with people that share similar interests to me. I even built positive relationships with my teachers over the years. The staff was always very helpful during stressful periods and never ignored any problems that may have circulated the school. While being educated, I began to look at a career in education as an option. I will always look back, fondly, on my time Sayreville War Memorial High School because it shaped me into the intelligent and open-minded person that I am today.
I am a senior now so I feel I can give an accurate depiction of this school. SWMHS is located in a smallish town, pretty diverse student body. The school has recently installed and required metal detectors upon entrance along with a swipe of your student ID card. While this stirred up trouble with the students, surely it did promote more safety due to the many and recent school shootings through out the country. The teachers are good for the most part, most of them genuinely care for their students. Sports are fun, sometimes the football is good sometimes it isn't really just luck of the draw.. Would this be my first pick for my children to attend? No. Does it beat other schools? Yes. SWHMS is slightly above average.
