I think that most of the issues that plague the school are a result of it being a rural school with some of the worst funding, and therefore some of the lowest teacher salaries, of any school in the state. The academics suffer from the sadly common issue of the school allocating considerably more funding to sports programs than the academics. While sports are certainly important as a means of uniting the community, alumni, and current students, it doesn't look good when a school with fewer than 2000 students has two gymnasiums and a weight room, but the textbooks are all at least ten years old and held together by packing tape. Many students are underachievers, and for those who do succeed, there are few opportunities for advancement other than bothering the teachers who are already stretched thin for an independent study, or turning to online learning in a computer lab already filled with students taking remedial online classes.

Saranac is a very close knit school. Everybody knows one another and most of the time, that is a great thing!
I feel the school could improve on overall maintenance and discipline.
Just your average typical High school. Good people Small we are all really close together good sports some sports we are better at then others. Food is pretty basic some days it's better then others. But you can say that about everything. Sometimes the same thing is better on other days.
