Santiago High School is a great place because it allows students to explore their interests with the support of not only teachers but fellow peers too!
My experience with Santiago High School has only been positive. I enjoy the environment greatly as everyone is welcoming. The teachers care for their students and their education. If we don't understand a subject, we can ask and they'll stay behind to help aid us. They know that we can struggle and give us time to cool off if we ask for it. Everyone is understandable and kind.
Santiago High is a choice for a parent who wants their kid's study in a nice environment with a variety of races that their child could experience working with other people in the world. As I, a child of Southeast Asia, to be specific is the girl of Vietnam. Better than other schools in the district, not many Vietnamese students enroll in this school, which helps an English learner like me have the opportunity to talk and learn a new language with a true English speaker. Be fiend with them help improve my English skills. Teachers are the nicest people, and truly in love with their job; have made the lessons more attractive and easier to get in. I was not a good English speaker but the people in here really did make wonderful things such as the no-judgment zone. I do feel very confident as always while studying in school. This is my last year, but the only regret things are that I have not truly express my feelings, and tell everyone that I appreciate every little thing they taught me!
As a sophomore I have been at Santiago High school for almost two years, which I have enjoyed very much. There is a great variety of clubs, every one of them offers safe and fun environment for students to learn or do more of what they enjoy. Santiago High school offers clubs such as AVID which help prepare students for college. Although improvement can be made in areas such as administration and food, this Santiago High school is a fairly diverse campus filled with amazing people.
Santiago High school has excellent contributions. It is inclusive of all races and aims towards evolving as society does. It is generally a safe place that provides a safe environment as well as an environment that allows expression in many ways. They work towards closing the achievement gap and provide aid in many aspects including clubs and classes that contribute towards achieving more knowledge not only academically but about life's wonders.
Santiago is a pretty great school with the best and most caring teachers in the district! Teachers here support students so much and there is so much community involvement in SHS that you don’t see at other schools
They support and provide many information to help you with tour graduation. They do care about getting you into your next level of education. It’s all about helping the students there for the betterment of their lives. I’d say being there for the last four years, the teachers and even students are seemed to have been welcoming. Appreciate all that they have done, loved this school.
My experience at Santiago High School has been a road to success. Not only was I engaged in learning, but the teachers also made it easy and fun to learn. Through out my 4 years, something I noticed about myself is I'm very good at Learning new skills, I like working in teams so we can share ideas and combine them to enhance our projects. I would not get in trouble at all the teachers would say, " your such a good kid". I got honor roll 6 times through out my 4 years, and I received a Career Pathway Completion Certificate, for 2 years of learning in Engineering Design. Also, a certificate for 2 years of food services and hospitality. As I futher my education I do plan on starting my own restraunt as well. My plans are not to sticking to one career my whole life in fact I plan to get my real estate license as well . I like the idea of having land in order to do activities with the family. Thank you for giving me the oppurtunity to tell you about my self. As well have a great day. 😁
I love this school. It’s super friendly and accepting. The campus really reps it’s purple pride. All the teachers always try their best to help the students really understand the material. The administration is really good and understanding. I could not imagine my myself going to any other school and I’m proud be a cavalier. I think our school has improved over the years both in academic and student wise. I think the thing I love most about Santiago is the diversity and family like atmosphere on campus.
Overall, a good school in-terms of college preparation, especially for the lower income families in the area. The athletics and music (both band and choral) department are some of the best in the district. They offer an abundance of AP classes, especially those focused in on the core subjects, most of which aren't available for students to take until their Junior/Senior year. Santiago is focused on sending students to college, whether it be a community or a 4-year, primarily by fulfilling their A-G reqs. Their counseling department is well loved and are cooperative with and supportive of their students.
All the teachers at Santiago are very supportive and caring about all of their students. A lot has changed about Santiago from when I first started out my freshman year to now, my senior year. They have been in modernization for what feels like forever but it definitely feels like the school is finally coming together. The bathrooms, which used to be very old, dirty, and flooded with water everyday, have finally been redone. They are now brand new and way better than they were my freshman year. The classrooms had no AC back then, now there is basically an AC in every classroom on campus (and they are being well taken advantage of). Although there has been times on campus where students may have felt unsafe, the school has done a good job on upgrading the safety factor of the school by installing brand new gated fences around the whole school. I believe Santiago has done a great job on everything they have upgraded and they have only been getting better throughout the years.
Santiago High School was a great place filled with teachers who truly care about their students. The administration did everything in their power to ensure that students always had an opportunity of success. They did this by extending library hours and by creating a 30 minute period that allowed students to get extra help for tests, homework, or any other concern that one may have.
Honestly some of the best staff and teachers. They provide you with the skills and the resources. They really have your best interest in mind.
Well me personality I feel as if this school is an excellent school but there are some characteristics I would change. For example get better sport equipment and probably better food because both of those things are terrible. Academically, this school is great for that since it has nice classrooms and excellent teachers who know there materials.
Santiago High School is an AWSOME school with amazing teacher who solely focus on getting you on track to success. They all have unique personalities but one thing they have in common is that only want the best for their students.
What I liked about my school was that there was a lot of involvement and pride at our school. The sports at our school are alright. However, the teachers at out school are not that good. Neither are our counselors.
My overall experience was really good. There was a variety of different clubs and classes to choose from. The teachers here really show that they care about the students education. One of the best things about the school is that the teachers and students have energetic enthusiasm so it makes learning a lot more engaging.
