I went to a much larger school in a different school district for my freshman and sophmore year and struggled with the students, fitting in and feeling safe, all while trying to grasp what was happening with COVID. Santa Rosa saved me in so many ways and offered me exactly the type of learning environment and support I was looking for and for the first time in a while I started to thrive. The teachers, the staff and the students are all amazing and I am who I am today because of all those at SRA that supported me. GO RANGERS!
Santa Rosa Academy is a wonderful school for students. The nature of the school is embedded in personalizing education to the individual student needs. Academics and character education are taught daily, side-by-side, integrated and equally emphasized. SRA also celebrates and fosters reverence for patriotism and honoring those who serve to protect us in our communities and abroad. SRA launched its participation in the NSLP and has high quality, healthy, and tasty meals for students. The school leadership is second to none, just like its fantastic support staff and excellent teachers. Students are actively engaged in extracurriculars through clubs, activities, student leadership, and championship athletics. SRA was just acknowledged by the CCSA for besting 86% of all schools in California for excellence in student outcomes amongst students representing the Latinx demographic. The small class sizes, high quality, rigorous curriculum, and caring staff make a difference for students!
The college readiness of this school is excellent! Academics at Santa Rosa have prepared me for college and have given me college credits. I wish that administration had become less strict and that there was less parent involvement. As for athletics, we aren't very high in the scale. Our teachers love what they do, but lately teachers have been finding other jobs. The teachers we do have would do anything for us and we find personal connections with them.
