The overall atmosphere is good at school. For a small school, they try to offer a variety of classes. I feel some of the administration choices are poor - jumbo tron tv in the gym, but not handicapped accessible. The kids that want to go to college seem to do fine on the ACT and in scholarships. College bound kids really must work for their classes - the teaching staff can not/are not capable to help with college level classes - either you get it or you are out of luck. It has great parent and community support! It does have numerous groups to belong to.

I'm currently a Junior at Sandy Creek High School. I feel like all of the teachers at the High School try to become a better teacher except for one of the many teachers. There's a lot of homework to do, but it's pretty easy to do and some of the teachers try to make their class environment fun. Like we've had party's and fun activities to do every year. They also gave us a laptop to borrow for $30 a year to use during the school day and to bring home that we do most of our homework on unless you're in an art class. We can use phones throughout the day as long as your not failing a class and as long as the teacher says it's okay to. We get decent school times, which is 8:20 - 3:38 everyday but we get out a few days a year. Plus we get around anywhere ranged from one day to one week off from school a year from the snow.
Sandy Creek Highschool is a small one, with only about 30 children per class. College classes are offered to juniors and seniors, and the NCAPS program gives all of the students a jump start in looking for careers, giving 12 hours of job shadowing per semester. There are not many clubs, and the sports teams are funded well, although they do not win any games.
