Personally, being part of such a tight-knit community has played a major role in my development as a leader in the community and has set me up in a tremendous position to succeed later on in life. Teachers never fail to let students know that if they ever need help somebody will be there to help them. I have created many strong bonds with the faculty and know that if I ever need a recommendation letter, that someone is more than willing to write one. This has allowed me to flourish in the classroom and has given me a direct path into my future. Go Indians!
This high school is one I hold dear to my heart and will continue to do so as I get older. The remarkable teachers do an astonishing job in preparing students for the SAT and college,as well as shower them with many key life lessons. They give students all of the tools they need to have a successful future, and are always eager to help with a warm smile on their face. The students have also been a major component in why S.H.S is great. They respect each other's uniqueness and see each other as brothers and sisters.Since elementary, the Sandwich District staff has shaped their students into becoming compassionate, caring, and respectful young persons and it continues to show. This relates to the district's motto,"Learning Today, Shaping Tomorrow".What I wish to see would be a little more diversity in the school.Being able to see others from different social groups and cultures will help students understand the beauty of diversity, something the world needs to be more open to.
Sandwich High School is not a great place for children to learn. A majority of the teachers there are only there because they couldn’t get anyone else to fill their spot. The students don’t care about their education because no one believes they’re going anywhere beyond the gates of the small town, I’d recommend sending your children elsewhere.
