My overall experience at Sands CISD has been wonderful. The first day of my junior year at Sands was scary. I have been the "new kid" plenty of times in my life and I didn't want people to just stare at me. At first people where staring until class began and within the first ten minutes of class I had already made a friend which is very unlike me. The kids that attend at Sands CISD are very welcoming and friendly that it's unbelievable. They will try to make you feel like you're part of the family because, that's just what we are. Family, we may pick on each other and be unhappy with one another at times but what family isn't unlike that.

If I had to choose a new school all over again I honestly believe that I would choose my current school. Everybody there is just so nice and caring towards one another. The teachers strive to see you succeed in life and if somebody has already graduated and came back to visit the teachers will have a gigantic smile plastered on their face because, they know that they did everything that they possible could to get you where you are now. This is why all of the kids currently at Sands is doing everything that they possibly can to achieve their goals in life.

I have been to a total of five different schools in my life time. Three of the five have been high schools. Sands CISD is by far the best school I have been to. I absolutely love the teaching style in part of my classes. For example, in history class there are some days where we will take notes while the teacher is talking and then on some we will get online and complete assignments.By doing this our teacher is getting us ready to take notes in college and helping kids who have trouble learning by listening to lectures.

The teachers at Sands CISD will not only help the kids with their class work but with others to. For instance, I had trouble figuring out what I wanted to major in and one of my teachers sat me down and just asked me simple things. I ended up figuring out that I wanted to major in science and possibly become a surgeon or a doctor. They have helped me through difficult task with figuring what I want to do in the long run and I will forever be thankful for that.
Since I have been attending Sands CISD for only two year I have only gotten to be in two clubs/organizations. I have been in One act play for both years and I absolutely love it. I was the costume manger my eleventh grade year which was a new experience for me and this year I am an actress. After school practices for this is fun and it tends to go very well. Every kid in one act usually gives 110% because we have nearly advanced to state and that is our goal. We will do everything possible to make sure we are good enough for state this year.

Sands just recently got a dance team and it's really fun. I love being able to go to football and basketball games to perform for the audience. After school practices usually run pretty long because, the two other girls that are in dance with me would find a new dance that they would like to try. So we usually tried each and everyone of them until we got them down. More than half of the time we would loose track of time and end up leaving practice late. But in the end it was all worth it because, I got to do something that I love to do.
