Sandlapper Elementary School Reviews

1 review
My son has special needs. His kindergarten year was amazing because his teacher was well versed in how to reach differently abled learners. His 1st and 2nd grade years got progressively worse. By the end of 2nd grade I had called multiple meetings with the IEP team and things were not improving. I even went over the school’s head and went straight to the district and there was still no follow through. I would have had to hound them everyday all day just to have them do their jobs. I resolved it would be his last year in the public school system (and I work for the am school district)! I was able to find a private school that specialized in special needs students. Now I am paying over $15,000 a year for his education because the public school couldn’t do their job. In the first year he was in the private school he went from not being able to read at all to reading at a kindergarten level by the end of the year!!!
