SRV is a great school in a great district. However, one thing that often happens is the school is understaffed and thus one’s academic experience relies on the teacher. This is an issue because SRV is a place where the teacher dictates whether or not you truly understand a topic, which shouldn’t be the case. In addition, if one is assigned a teacher who’s unqualified or unsatisfactory in teaching, the students aren’t allowed to transfer teachers. Finally, because students are stuck with certain teachers, those who get taught incorrectly or insuffucientky are unprepared for the next level of that subject, or are discourage from taking the next level of said subject.

I felt that SRVHS is great at making everyone feel welcome and involved. The activities and community here allow everyone to be part of something, whether it be athletics, performing arts, or clubs. There are definitely some pretty memorable staff members at this school. The best teachers here are often the ones that aren't afraid to push their students to the limit. The athletics program is also really good here. Being able to compete against other schools in EBAL really puts you in the competition and creates some tense and memorable games. All in all SRVHS is a great school.
Wonderful community on and off campus, lots of school spirit, and some wonderful teachers! Sports are a large part of SRV, but the arts programs are great as well. Admin are always trying to improve campus culture and the Leadership works continuously to put on school-wide activities.
