The people at San Lorenzo high school are accepting and easy to talk to, as well as the teachers. Although, San Lorenzo has always been a little short staffed, especially STEM teachers. Some classes are filled with substitutes the whole school year! It really slows down the students' growth and limits learning. The administration is okay. They are very strict with the dress code, and would rather have you miss out on your education than show your shoulders. They are very concerned with the students well being and want to make sure every kid goes home safely every day. Also, San Lorenzo High School students have a lot of school spirit which makes homecoming and spirit week so much more fun! The sports teams aren't all in high divisions in the league, but I'll tell you that the San Lorenzo teams create lifelong bonds that can't be broken. Overall, San Lorenzo is a good school although the administration and lack of teachers are what holds them back from their true potential.

I have been a student at San Lorenzo High school for the past 3 years. SLZ has a lot of ups and downs. Lets start with the ups, slz has a good percentage of diversity, a good mixture in races. The teachers are very very supportive and will do anything for you to succeed. They check in with you through out the course of the year, and are very involved with the student activities. The sports in my school includes Basketball, Football, Soccer and many more, we are a very competitive school and we are best known for our victory in Basketball. Lastly, the students at San Lorenzo High are very friendly, and will make you feel involved and outspoken. Now the downside, as any other school there are fights, and disrespect . I would like for the district and School Board is include more interactive classes so that the students can be involved throughout the school year.
There are many great things at San Lorenzo. The staff and students are very reserved when there is conflict. It is a good school. However, many students don’t like the strict phone policy, since the school adapted Yondr. The students are very spirited. The girls’ volleyball team, badminton, cross country, and spirit squad are very good. Football, on the other hand, needs improvement. Something I would like to see changed is some academics. Although San Lorenzo High School has great classes with amazing teachers, I think we need more languages and math classes. I want San Lorenzo to have a pre-calculus class rather than jumping from algebra 2 to AP Calculus.
