I am new to San Juan College, but so far my experience as a student with Staff and other students has been pleasantly memorable. Success coaches are readily available and have been so helpful to me so far throughout my journey as a new student. From helping me access my online books, to introducing me to career coaches who are going the extra mile in helping me achieve an internship in my major, which is psychology, the staff has helped me reach the building blocks I need in order to achieve my goals I have for myself. I am happy to be apart of this consistently positive and progressive community.

What I love about this school is how it changed my perspective on my future and what hard work actually is. I’ve always thought I was very hard working in elementary and middle school because I never got a B and always got straight A’s. But when I first entered this school, my world was flipped upside down. I was getting C’s and barely making it, I was stressed and stayed up countless hours working on work that I didn’t even understand. But with the help of my classmates, teachers, and the college coursework. I grew into this person that I could depend on and call hard working. I passed high school in 2 years, went to my state science fair and won 2nd place, I earned 20+ college credits and am now acing my college work with ease. I love this school and all it had done for me not only in my academic life but in my personal life as well.
My experience has been great at San Juan College its so diverse being on a border town of a Navajo Reservation. A lot different people to go to school with. I like that there are a variety of classes from welding to construction all the way to cosmetics and nursing. There is little i would change about the school, if you want a cheap education with quality knowledge go here. If they had dorms it would be more convenient.
