What I liked about San Jose High School was the IB program. I really enjoyed challenging myself with IB classes that prepare you for college. San Jose High School was a great experience for me because it is filled with teachers who encourage you to go to college and achieve good grades. Through all my years in San Jose High School I passed all of my classes thanks to the help of teachers and their resources for example after school tutoring. I am glad to have joined the IB program in San Jose High School because IB classes give me college credit which will make my college years less stressful. To anyone who is considering attending San Jose high School I recommend doing sports! While attending San Jose High School I joined the basketball team it was a great experience because there I became more social and learned how to work in a team. I recommend San Jose High School to any student that wants to be more prepared for college.

It was an average high school. Smaller campus size meant less students, so school community is more tight knit. Programs have potential to be good but proper teachers needed. Since campus is small, students are around every corner and there are few places for students to hang out. School has many resources to help students, such as a homework center and MacBooks that can be checked out from the school library. Many teachers are also accessible outside of class; however, the school can't seem to keep teachers at the school. Overall not a bad school, but definitely could be better.
I love the community here at San Jose High, everyone is very friendly and caring. We’re like a family, and i’m very involved with the school and i’m here almost every day after school and even over the weekends sometimes. I feel a family connection to a lot of the staff and students here and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Unlike popular opinion our school is actually a really great school. We have alumni from the 50s and 60s that still come to support us. Like we say, “Once a bulldog always a bulldog.”
