If it wasn't for this pandemic, I would have really enjoyed high school. The school is in an odd area, however, it is near local and chain restaurants so that might be a plus for some people. The communication with staff and students on preparing students for the future could have been handled differently and more effectively. Students should know their opportunities right away and have more of a chance of success. This review is more of just me rambling about my experiences here at this school, and I'm just trying to fill up space in this review so that I can finish this survey and enter for a chance to earn a $1,000 scholarship. I could careless about my high school. The only things I liked about it were the people there. I excelled in all my academics and enjoyed the school events that were held there. Honestly the teachers who work here try their best on ensuring that we learn something, at least all the teachers that I have had the past four years I've been here. I enjoyed it.

My experience being a student here at San Jacinto High for 4 years have been a tough but great journey. The teachers and staff here are very friendly and supportive but the administratives and the counselors are another story. They give you the "nice treatment" when your parents are in front of them and they are very biased on a student's education, claiming that they should take this class instead of that. That treatment happened to me and it was not a wonderful situation. The food here is not that great although it is free, it does contain some "fake" and artificial ingredients. The education here is priceless, we have many AP classes here and great aide when it comes to college and classes. Although this school may not have the best treatment towards students, it does give an education that is powerful.
San Jacinto High School is a very inclusive safe campus. Our school culture is a very positive, healthy, and diverse one. Our school faces many challenges such as a lack of funding and city wide issues such as drugs and gangs. While many feel our school takes strong precautions and good safety measures towards these things many feel the school is very disconnected. The staff and students do not cohesively exist. Another problem that faces SJHS is the lack of spirit which has been an underlying issue for many years now.
