San Gabriel Academy provided me with many outreach opportunities and great ways to make friends. I really appreciated all the extra-curricular activities that were offered. That being said, there were not a lot of options for those wanting to get ahead on college. There were very limited AP and honors classes due to the small budget. Funds were mainly focused on sports instead of classes, especially the men's basketball team. The men's team received excessive funds while girl's teams were forced to fund-raise and pay their own ways for trips and uniforms. I did feel while attending this school that I was made less important as an athlete because I was a woman.
Admin and teachers care deeply about their students educational and spiritual growth. There are so many resources that allows students to succeed whether is be academics, athletics, student life, or spiritual life. It is obvious that a students well being is the upmost importance at San Gabriel Academy.
Offers a lot of fun inclusive events, but does a bad job alerting ahead of time, very last minute. Education is good, not the best, but the community is where this school shines, very welcome and friendly.
